If anything deserves a /facepalm, it's this. I hope this person is 14 so at least they would have something of an excuse. On second thought, maybe being 14 wouldn't be an excuse, either.
what exactly did the person do that deserves an ffxi player warning?
As I've stated multiple times in that section, you don't necessarily need to steal something for it to constitute a player warning.
Surprisingly enough some ls leaders do care about player attitudes, and this is definitely something some linkshells won't want to get involved in.
Well, i'm going to go out on a limb here and say they faked their own death. Though I could see how the title of the thread could be misleading.what exactly did the person do that deserves an ffxi player warning?
I followed it from this:
http://www.zam.com/forum.html?forum=...1&num=2&page=1
if you click on the name of the OP you can see their ffxi characters.
obviously could be lying but the levels seem to match what people were saying
Member of the LS says that she was(is) a mithra.
Also, about the Shuline/Sylph thing...
http://www.ffxiah.com/player_search....arch_q=shuline
No characters named Shuline existed that ever used the AH, unless Shuline/Sylph is her current name and server after the jump.
not was... is. She ain't dead remember!
More I look at this Shuline character, it does look like the jobs match Thesummoner, but who knows. Needs more info.
I am laughing hard at the people who don't understand why this deserves a player warning...
Player warnings only matter if they steal an entire bank obviously
dunno how zam profiles work. Do you input it or do they pull it from the server like ffxiah? if you imput it they could fake the name/server so people won't know it's the same person.
I may be missing something.... but how do we know she's not actually dead?
So what someone photoshopped the memorial page. Maybe they just wanted to get something up out of respect and didn't have any real pictures?
That could be the case for the first 2 pictures, but remember, the photoshopped picture is of an existing tombstone that has an existing name, with only the dates of death changed. The implication is that obviously the "real name" of Thesummoner is fake. If it is true that she is dead, why would anyone go through the trouble of faking the name and photoshopping a date on an existing tombstone with that name? It would be completely disrespectful towards the deceased member to fake a name for them. Clearly the person who wrote that memorial was someone "in on it", or a "family member". I considered your argument, but the photoshopped tombstone completely gives it away.
Seems like Thesummoner might be in somebody's linkshell in Siren, according to FFXIAH.com:
and the character model IS a mithra. Hm...Originally Posted by Siren.Kuz

I'm just playing devil's advocate because I had cancer, and I vanished from my LS for quite a few months. I don't want to make light of someone who may have actually died and here we are making fun of her. That would not be cool.
Let's just see some real proof that she jumped servers or something before you guys all jump on the "OMG ITS SHOPPED SHE'S TOTALLY STILL ALIVE!" train.
