NBC is airing an ad during the Super Bowl that is anti-abortion featuring Tim Tebow and his moms and shit. They said they're now open to new advertising ventures. A gay dating website called mancrunch.com made a tongue-in-cheek commercial with two men that appear to be kissing in it, very G-rated, was rejected by NBC even though the company offered to pay in cash.
Some people think it's discrimination, others think it's about family values. Family values think violence and erotic beer commercials featuring lesbian women is ok, but two fully clothed men in a funny commercial fake kissing is not ok - for children.
Meeze hates black people and gay people and thinks they should be hung
Random guy:
"Don't need to shove gay stuff in people's faces."
BG Mafia:
OMFG YOU BIGOT JUST BECAUSE NOT EVERYONE APPROVES DOESN'T MEAN IT SHOULDN'T BE IN THEIR FACES.
Me:
"Why can't they just have appropriate shit that matches the content?"
BG Mafia:
OMFG YOU BIGOT YOU HATE GAY PEOPLE BECAUSE YOU DON'T LIKE INAPPROPRIATE COMMERCIALS IN THE SUPER BOWL BUT YOU'RE OK WITH BEER!
Pretty much sums everything up to the Meeze point.
Meanwhile if you put a commercial that said "God is great" in they'd all flip out about how terrible it is to force your opinion on the populace... unless it's their opinion.
So if a child sees the congratulatory ass-slapping you get in football and tries to imitate it, it's okay, but if a child sees a gay kiss and (despite likely not wanting to anyway) tries to imitate it, it's bad?
its amazing how after this many pages you can still miss the point entirely. I have no problem with parents not wanting their children to be subjected to things they think are inappropriate, but you can't say being gay is inappropriate and then say you're not being bigoted. How are you missing this?
You don't like shoving gay stuff into people's faces but what about straight stuff being forced into gay people's faces lol. Just sayin'
WILL HE BE DAMAGED?
what needs to get through your head is that you can't shelter or hide gay things(or anything for that matter) from your child forever. during some point in their life they will have an experience with it and if it's during a superbowl ad. That's when it'll happen. If you feel your child is too young to know what's going on it's your responsibility as a parent to explain what is going on.
if your child asks why those girls were wrestling over beer, it's your responsibility to explain what was going on.
shit freaking happens and our child see's shit at unideal times. but as a parent it's your job to explain shit to them. God. stop being retarded and just admit you're too much of a piss-poor parent to bother explaining things. I don't even have kids and I understand the concept.
"but I'm watching mah spurts and drinkin mah beer... I shouldn't have to explain things to my darn kids while enjoying such a bonding family experience" shit. freaking. happens. pretty sure the superbowl has been having risque ads for a while now. If you're gunna have your child watch it with you then be prepared to do some explaining, if you so choose.
also, how was the commercial shoving gay agenda down anyones throat? Did you even watch it? It was pretty tame and the black dudes face at the end gave it some humor. I mean if you could explain exactly how it was offensive it would be easier to understand where you're coming from.
although if your reason is "I don't mind gay people as long as they never act gay" then uhhhh... /bigot
He also said straight make-outs are also "inappropriate," but still hasn't answered how all the much more easily imitable ass-slapping within a game of football is any more appropriate for kids to mimic.you say that, but you haven't said what exactly you find inappropriate about the commercial if not that.
Edit: or if you did i certainly missed it.
i read them all, i do not recall you giving a specific reason as to why this particular ad is inappropriate
Edit: see, i thought you had said something about 2 people making out regardless of their gender being inappropriate, but i thought i had just made that up in my head as it is utterly ridiculous.
I HATE FAGS BUT I AINT NO BIGOT, BOY. JUST GO FAG IT UP IN PRIVATE AND KEEP THAT HOMO SHIT OFF MY TV.
lol
I dont know, i never said it either. but, somehow people read it that way. both of us are just as much against the anti abortion add as well as the manmunchers.com add. I am still at a loss at how this became so focused on the manmunchers add. Mabey it is more hip to hone in on that portion of the arguement. i dunno
At anyrate, its obvious that you cannot have a conversation about this without people trying to reshape the arguement into something it never was. Once i see that happening i just walk away from the whole conversation. It just isnt worth discussing a topic with anyone who does that. Theyll just try to make it seem like you said something you never ment in the first place. So id advise ya to just walk away as well.
as for the ass slapping thing, there is nothing sexual in that. Heck, in many portions of the world men walk down the streets holding hands. Its a sign of freindship, and has nothing to do with sexual oreintation. To read sexual oreintation into two guys walking down the street holding hands is just as silly as imposing a suggestion of sexual oreintation on athletes congratulating each other. Dont read into things that simply arent there.
I'm not. I'm asking you if you'd want to see any child of yours run around slapping other kids on the ass.as for the ass slapping thing, there is nothing sexual in that.
