    @Mechanics...cold car problem

    So, for some reason, my car is always abnormally cold in the winter, I've never experienced this before with any cars I've been in. Furthermore, for some reason, for the past 2 months, the inside of my windows have constantly been covered in frost, making me have to sit 'iddle' for a good 10 minutes while the car heats up and thaws. I suspect there may be a hole on the underside thats causing this, but I'm not really good at these kinda things. Any ideas?

    Fill it with water, and check where it leaks. That's where your hole is.

    I don't get it.. you say when you get in the car there is frost on the inside?

    If that is what you are saying then it is either really fucking cold where you are or you got a seal loose around the windows

    Alternatively you can use apple juice for the great taste and smell afterwards.

    I've never heard of frost on the inside of a car (without leaving the windows down or a seal problem) but I live in the southern united states I dunno about Canada I'd Imagine it is crazy cold all the time in the winter, I still don't see how you'd have frost on the inside of the car. Go look inside your car since you're in Canada and tell me (I'm guessing no tho)

    Well, it was raining a few days ago, then there was a huge snowstorm, and now it's crazy cold. It's not too much of a stretch to think there was a lot of humidity inside the car due to snow and rain.

    I have no car, but there was a lot of ice in my friend' car this week. A lot more than usual.

    JC I can't believe it gets so cold there it freezes the inside of the car, that would be a huge fucking pain in the ass

    Does it take you 30 minutes to just get the cloths on to go out?

    -16C at the moment, not accounting for the wind.

    We've seen colder than that, though.

    Frost won't appears unless there is humidity involved. When it's -15 celcius and less, the only humidity there is the one you brought in the car last time it was used. Depending how cold it is, it's often going to freeze inside the car window

    It rarely takes an additional 29 minutes to put a 2nd shirt and a some glove on. >_>

    Isn't the electric bill insane? I'm really curious about this, I don't see how in the hell you Canadians can stand -0 weather for what 3-4 months?

    I prefer something under 0, althought, I'm one of the rare person who enjoy winter cold here.

    Electricity is pretty cheap compared to USA. I think it's 4 times less or some shit. Not to mention that we spend less on AC as well.

    Some prefer the cold. The only times I like being warm is in the shower or bed. I haven't used a heater so far this winter. Between my computers and the apartments around me, my apartment will heat up by itself unless the temperature outside is single digits (F not C). It seems to be somewhat isothermal in the 50~60s then. I actually have a 16" window fan that I use at least once or twice a day to exhaust hot air from the apartment, seeing as using the AC is out of the question with outside temperatures.
