    Build My Employee A Computer

Ok BG, I know some of you love doing this so here goes.

One of my employees got tax money back and wants a new gaming computer.

    He has $800-$900ish to spend.

His requirements are a Quad-Core processor, 8GB of Ram, and a Good Video Card. Don't worry about monitor or keyboard/mouse or OS.

    Go Go Go Go Go!!!

If you want to be nice a larger screen makes surfing for porn much easier.

I just went through the same thing myself, that list comes out to 757 before tax or shipping, which I'll wager is somewhere in the mid 800 range. Only thing not on there is 2 fans @$10 that I'm adding into the case. 8gb of RAM seems kinda redundant, but you can still look at a few of the components I picked to mix and match.

8 gigs of memory?! Cmon now he really doesn't need that much.. If I do that I'll havee to downgrade on the video card and that's something you don't want to do.

Quick run through Newegg with the ewiz 965... should be able to use that coupon code on pretty much anything btw. Could probably find better deals but I just wanted to make sure I could make a 5850 rig for under $900. Don't really know of a good cheapo case either, could probably shave off $15 if you can find one.

Also he should definitely go with 4GB instead of 8 for gaming right now.

edit: saw in recent newegg newsletter...
    HIS HD5850 $269.99 w/ EMCYNYN62

also Gigabyte 770 $74.99 instead of that 785G

    so previous price - $35
