I remember when people posted on the VN boards.
I remember the massive Gob / Crawler / Bat trains when you zoned in and immediately died.
I remember XPing in Onzozo, Den, VoS, Moon, and Sky. 1 person would ALWAYS die on the way to VoS, Moon, or sky.
I remember dinging lv 60 in Cape Terrigan with a JP group, and getting Congratulations! upon equipping my AF hat. 1 also told me Coooool hat!
I remember dinging in Bibiki Bay and using Firaga 3 for MB. Dhamels were roasted.
I remember taking the day off from work b/c my LS was doing a ZM4 > Sky run for all us newbies.
I remember dinging 75 in KRT manaburn.
I remember the months and months my CoP static took to make it to Sea. (pre-nerf) Some of my most rewarding battles were getting to Lufaise, Beating the airship, and finally reaching Sea for the first time, upon which we immediately aggroed a Jellyfish and managed to beat it.
I remember finally being able to manaburn in Meadows.
I remember when my first "endgame" LS broke and Scar posted the Ryunorie video. Awesome lulz.
I remember Ryunorie saying if you didn't transfer with her to a new server you weren't a "true" Eternal Knight.
I remember the Arshi and Jonesz bots.
I remember seeing the Youtube video Nela posted of Jonesz and thinking "Hey! there I am trying to Stun Fafnir 10 seconds after he popped purple!"
I remember my friend Burawura quitting over drama in Kevinsa's Sea LS b/c I won Prudence Torque over him.
I remember my best RL friend was leader in a rival HNM shell. We would share ToD and lulz about all the LS drama we heard.
I remember pulling all-nighters when ToAU and WotG came out. The thrill of new zones and adventure is good.
I remember all the late night CN dynamis runs and finally getting 6/6. Fun times.
I remember all my BLM friends I made over the years manaburning. Sadly, most of them don't play anymore or changed servers. (Faytlynn, Fiercediety, Burawura, Cruniac, Sparkles, Papawarlock, and lots more.)
I remember the people that told me "I wont get banned" Heh ya...
I remember finally getting 5/5 Morrigan and getting Citadel to drop, not once, but 2 times to finish our Usukane sets.

I remember deciding to "explore" when I first reached lv.7 during the first few days of the NA-PC release. I wandered from Windurst to Sauromugue without dying somehow and then wandered into some weird place name Jeuno. There was nothing but regal music, fancy shiny armor, and moonspeak everywhere I looked. It was amazing. The AH was in stock with anything I could want (but not afford). I bought a brand new "Dagger" and deathwarped (not "bloodport") in Rolanberry Fields, the prettiest zone I had seen.

Moar I remembers...

-When after a month of testing, Strange Apparatus's passwords were cracked, and Infinity Cores skyrocketed in price due to people thinking you could get ancient currency from them.

-When the only TP Burn PTs were axe burns which consisted of a BRD, RDM or WHM, and 3-4 WAR/NINs voking hate off each other when shadows were down.

-Mining my first adaman ore in Ifrit's just so I could buy back an Iron Musketeer's Gorget, which was considered the best neckpiece for PLD back then.

-Back when the windower was just a windower and there was still controversy over it.

-Most PCs couldn't handle weather effects without their framerate plummeting

-Having to compete w/ RMT in Gusgen Mines for mining points.

-My first time seeing a cactuar, and the disappointment that followed because of how they looked.

- Some BLUs trolling the PUP community about a week after ToAU came out on KI.

-Chocobos at Mea costing over 10K to rent due to the high traffic. If I recall correctly sometimes they cost nearly 30K to rent.
