I remember when:

- I thought that 'Sky' was the ultimate in endgame activity and only the uber-1337 players did ground kings and other activities I considered to be beyond my level of playing at the time. Now that I'm doing what I used to consider to be uber-1337 activities on a daily basis I realise a large proportion of the players I thought were uber-1337 are actually self-obsessed assholes that will gladly stab you in the back to get their hands on equipment.

- I thought it was impossible to bot-claim HNM's for the first few months doing HNM's.... "Don't be stupid! I'm sure SE can tell if someone's botting and ban them"....naivity is a wonderful thing. I thought they were just a bit quicker than me on mashing their claim macro....

- I spent a full day researching and planning my first Maat fight, only to get home and having nerves get the better of me and everything I planned to do was thrown out the window and I did it on the fly. Ran out of time....damn. 1/2 in the end. Survived by a mile though, just didn't put out enough damage.

- My 2nd Maat attempt. I don't think I've had a feeling as good as beating the old man since.

- Helping people out with getting a skull for the subjob quest was a regular occurence.

- RMT fishbots. Everywhere.

- Konschtat Highlands. On foot. Damn that's a long run the first time you take it.

- People would keep calling Valkurm Dunes "Valkrum Dunes"....the grammar nazi in me used to get so mad....

- Secret Beach was awesome. Unless it was your first time in Valkurm Dunes. At which point Goblins would beat the hell out of you a dozen times before you got there.

- Spending time in the game was only to spend it with your friends, doing random silly quests that could easily be solo'd but going with your friends was what it was all about. Standing around for hours for HNM's to pop was something only crazy people did. Who's the fool now. Doh!
