Alize + 7-up gets the bitches panties wet.
and beer not only tastes like shit but smells god awful as well.
don't see how people stand that shit
Sweet drinks don't give everyone stomach cramps, just as beer doesn't taste like piss to everyone. Personally, if I drink beer I get a headache, but I'm ok with red wine and "girly" drinks. Man, those appletinis at Chili's are fucking GOOD.

Did someone say Appletini?

Alton Brown made some one time dressed as Col. Sanders. I dunno about trying to make bourbon whiskey better than it already is, though. Will have to take Atreides' word for it.
they are delicious
Personally, I think alot of drinks are considered girly because of the color, not the alcohol quantity. Is a cosmo girly looking? Yeah it is, but if it's made with correct parts, it's pretty strong. Same thing with a Kamikazie, it's white/greenish and it's strong (or at least, how I make them for shooting).
Personally, if tastes good, idc.
If the mix or non-alcoholic parts of a drink are intended to mask and completely cover up any taste of alcohol, then it's getting into girl drink territory. A good cocktail should enhance the natural flavours of its ingredients, particularly the base, to transform a liquor into something new that it could not accomplish just being drunk neat.
My favourite cocktail is the Manhattan, and there the sweet vermouth and bitters take the edge off the whiskey, but add additional depth to the drink. However, I feel it's one cocktail that's getting sissier, as I always have to ask for it a little less sweet. So many bartenders in my city seem to think that upping the sweet vermouth will make a Manhattan more palatable to non-drinkers, but it just ends up making the drink overpowering with the vermouth's cloying sweetness. Yeuch.
The margarita's another good example of a classic cocktail that's gotten all sissied up and has almost become a "girl" drink outside of beach resorts. All that crushed ice and sugary syrup "mix" kills the reputation of a damn fine cocktail. The drinker should actually be able to taste the tequila and enjoy its floral notes, where the Triple Sec adds some nice sweetness to counterbalance the fresh sour in the lime. Three ingredients, that's all, for a wicked drink. Keep the crushed ice and high fructose corn syrup away from a cocktail and it's going to be a good drink for anyone, man or woman.
LITs however I think are kind of "girly" but damn do they pack a whallop. Goes down great in summer though; got to love long drinks when the sun is high and bright.
I love the Bartender manga, it's so over-the-top haha
I'm with the 'who gives a shit if it tastes good?' view... I probably prefer and most often have have 'girlier' drinks, but at the same time I can stomach straight hard liquor better or as good as anyone I've met. It's just the ladder isn't as... satisfying.
Tequila sunrises are win when made right, probably one of my favorite. Which looks entirely girly and is really sweet, only problem is it's not often places make it right.![]()
