Similar post came from a known troll on the NC boards, so either he yanked it or is pulling shit from his ass. Rumors are rumors until I see something more official, but for the moment all we have from NC is something's coming Q1.
groan@guild leader skills. Hopefully it's just something like a mass legion summon, doing something like they did in L2 (where the leaders of the top clans were the only people on the server allowed to ride the game's only flying mount) would just be obnoxious.
ha
against glad and SM, maybe.
damnit, shouldn't have toss away my thousands of attack 3 manastones![]()
Let's hope they fix the Heart of Magic BS. I've long since abandoned my goal of getting Fenris armor (the campaign quests alone put me off!) but the current system is STILL bad.
Either fix the flying system, make a ground abyss, or both.
I like the freedom of soloing in Aion, TBH. I work irregular hours, so always having to find a group is tough on me, and in FF11 duos/trios aren't that great XP, everyone always wants a full party with a Bard or Corsair or both. Though I do wish grouping in Aion gave a slight XP boost, or at least something to differentiate it from soloing - it's practically the same.
Raising the level cap sounds good![]()
I'll come back if they merge some servers.
I leveled 25-50 in groups only, the option is definitely available if that's the way you prefer to play.
Honestly, without something being done about ganking, I'd rather keep servers low on populations. In terms of group content maybe being difficult to do, some kind of level sync or incentive to backtrack to help others would go a long way. If a group needed me to tank FT or something, and killing Kromede would get me something I could trade for a boiling blood stain or two, I'd do it.
When I started in FFXI I couldn't do anything alone. Nobody wanted me for exp, nobody wanted me for quests, nobody wanted me for missions. It took me 2 years to get THF to 75. I love that I have a great deal of variety in doing things.
so you haven't even gotten tot he quest and you give up? Sounds like your problem not the system's problem
you know attack stones go lv10 lv30 lv50 right? so in all likely hood those attack+3s would be used to make lv70 stones, not lv60 stonesdamnit, shouldn't have toss away my thousands of attack 3 manastones
Reading about the horror stories of people trying 11 times to get Fenris armor is enough. I don't even want to put up with the bother of getting groups to complete all the campaign missions...Sins are not exactly in demand for them. I figure I will either get crafted end-game gear or something else (Anuhart, Level 50 Abyss armor) or whatever I can scrounge up.
I don't really call it a problem...I'd rather not start to fight a losing battle. But YMMV.
some people are unlucky on pants
my legion have 16 people that went 1/1
2 people that went 1/3
1 person that went 1/9
yep aion = luck but sadly luck != difficulty
i feel for those people who failed pants
as for raising lvl 55 cap, i gotta get blew off, if its true, for the fact that this means new armor and that means new place to camp and bye bye DP due to the insane drop rate.....
but hello ground abyss, its time to see whos the boss in pvp now and not who is the better bird
imo Ssu is right I don´t know what it is but in FFXI I had no problem doing an exp pt the whole day but in Aion I´m going nuts after 1-2 hr ><;; but kinda off topic![]()
i think a lot of you look back at FFXI grinding through the shades of nostalgia
That and the fact that "grinding with friends" made it worth it, because of the focus not on the monotonous combat system at the time (hit a crab or pugil for 2-13 damage until you can skillchain with a buddy and MB it down), but on the jokes and experiences with friends, as opposed to the recent crop of MMOs where you have the freedom (read: choice) to xp alone or in a group.
The forced partying system in FFXI combined with the slow grind for first characters made for some sort of military basic training, where because people came out of the hardships together, they forged bonds, and now look back on it fondly.
Its no different that a marine father talking about how he got his ass routinely kicked by his drill Sergent back in the day, but loved it because of the time spent in the trenches and ranges with his comrades.
