MAG (PS3)

I'll add tips and some strategies and some misc other stuff to the OP sometime soon, for people new to the game and getting to grips with it, as it can be tough to get accustomed to everything. The MAG manual that comes with the game is like 5 pages and doesn't have any real info in it

Think we can post some maps too. Work on the best way to attack some of the harder maps.

i'm starting to get the hang of this game, but im still trying to figure out how i get killed by some of the machine guns so fast, is there something i don't understand about the accuracy of those guns cause it seems like i get killed by them more at longer ranges then i die from snipers sometimes.

and i have a question, should i keep the tier 2 assault rifle or respec and upgrade the machine gun?

good advice lol, but even if im hidden somewhere and unload on them they somehow always kill me first with less bullets

lol I just saw your post in WTS forum. Stick with it until you reach level 15 (when you can become squad leader) and can start to unlock some of the sights and better guns. Can toss you a clan invite if you are on SVER, too.

I've been trying to find birdseye view maps online, but have only found 2, of the same map. It's the valor sabotage map.

EDIT: I added some stuff to the valor sabo map to show what usually happens from my experience

Red lines = Paths SVER usually take, from my experience.
Green circles = Where (I think?) Valor spawns are, not 100% sure though.
Blue circle = Enemy snipers will usually camp here and try and shoot you as you parachute in.

SMG sucks and now I need 8k more points for a respec again. The shotgun in awesome though in tight areas.

Yeah I did, everyone who has put there PSN ID here that is on SVER I've sent a clan invite unless they were in a clan, but apparently some aren't getting them. I'll send it again today

Finally got to put in some time on this yesterday, got to level 7 and am really enjoying it, had a lot of fun in sabatoge. Unlocked Medi kit and Rez. Been using mainly 2 builds a run n gun with the assault rifle which I upgraded the grip for, and a sniper build. What upgrades do you guys recommend for assault/snipers?

@Dejay I had to leave right as you invited me and kept getting kicked from MAG servers when I got back, sent you a friend invite though.

Really? theres TONS of posts on the MAG forums saying the SMG is the best weapon in the game. I dont have a side-arm and i do agree that the shotgun is probably better, just saying what they say lol

Random valor/raven guy a runs up into my sights:

A. I shoot and try to aim for the head but he kills me in 1.2 seconds.

B. I shoot and he's too distracted to see me. I kill him in 3 secs flat.

The low dmg from it sucks but at least it's fast enough to get their attention so I can die quicker, from a lmg.

I have the sights upgrade for it so it's not like I can't shoot the fucker it's just that it doesn't put out enough damage.

I found the SMG to be largely useless, and that was using the Vipera-2 which is the best SMG. It just took so much longer compared to AR or LMG to kill someone, and AR can use the silencer attachment and a better scope.

So I just did a commando repair mission on SVER domination, and got disconnected after I finished with it. Pissed!

This is what you do:

You'll need a build with stealth, so that you aren't easily detected and need to get past the enemy front line and back to your bunkers/AA.

Start with the bunkers, repair each bunker as close to 99% as you can (DON'T FULLY REPAIR IT YET), go to each bunker and do it, avoid any APC's that may drive by you and don't shoot at anyone that hasn't seen you. Once you have a good amount of bunkers repaired up to 99%, fully repair the AA. Once it has been repaired the enemy will know your whereabouts, so sprint as fast as you can and repair each bunker to 100%, just run by and repair, then to the next one, then to the next. Gates would be good to get up too, but they can wait.

This is a good tactic to getting your front line defenses back up, also good for getting the bunker repair ribbon (need to repair 3) aswell.

After I did it, I got randomly signed out of PS network and got kicked, so didn't get the ribbon.

The smg can use the silencer too, it can't use the optical scope but it can use the reflex sight. I think part of the appeal to it is that it is very light which is good for defending because you can fit more stuff in your loadout. I personally run with the AR right now and I have it maxed out with everything I want, the next thing I am going to unlock is the shotgun for defending on Domination. Just hit level 29 last night, almost to level 30 now.

Edit: Shojin I was doing that last night. I have most of the commando skills unlocked including stealth and I was running through the enemy back up to the front lines and fixing stuff behind the enemies and causing them a lot of issues. I highly recommend silencer and stealth they work great for attacking too on Domination you can run off to the side run around and flank the enemy from behind while your team attacks from the front.

we just rana a domination and god we owned our side... we did about 90% dmg and lost. However our clan did all 90%. one side did not even break past the 1st line. others never got to dealing anything.
