what about how many points it takes to respec? Does it get reset back to 3k for the first respec? Just wondering!![]()
Yeah it gets reset.
Ugh, the next FPS I play better now have:
Insta-kill melee
Jumping
Leveling
A talent system.
mag does not have insta kill melee ~_~. If you have heavy armor or extra health you have to hit them in the back to get that one shot kill. that or head shot a knife to their face.. never knew you could head shot someone with a knife but you can in this game. My own teammate did it a few days back in a pile up.
Yeah I was playing and I was like "I just got shot in the head... with a knife...", was pretty funny.
There have been times where I've knifed people in the gut and they didn't die, then they get me. Do you guys think the extra health is worth saving for in order to not die in one knife swipe? I'm wearing medium armor and don't have enough points for heavy.
That extra HP has saved my ass on more then one occasion, and it's always satisfying to hear screams of "WTF I PUMPED A WHOLE MAG INTO THAT GUY" as you walk away from three dead bodies.
Plus the extra HP helps against sniper fire as well.
To this day I think I've only died once to actual smoke grenades, and that was because I took a few hits going into the smoke, and then got caught in a corner somehow. Otherwise, charging through poison smoke is one of my favorite things to do in this game since no one ever expects someone to do it. Most people pick up the blast resistance on their way to +HP, but I nabbed Chem resistance and it makes a huge difference. Add in SL bonuses and it's like gas doesn't even hurt at all.
If they weren't so expensive, Skill and Credit wise, I would unlock them myself. But doing so would require a total reworking of all my loadouts and my skill trees )=
So as I'm releveling to 60...I decided to max out my knife skill for fun. Turns out it wasn't just for fun as I cleared out a whole room of sver on their sabotage map with the extended reach and faster swipe speed. I'm actually noticing now that I'm getting more kills with my knife than anything else.
If you're good at sneaking in to a group of enemies/getting close, I highly suggest upgrading your knifing ability.
The extra life is the BEST skill in MAG imo. It has saved my butt so many times. The amount of kills I got jumped considerably and the amount of deaths decreased when I unlocked it.
I will also have to think about the knife skill thing. I spend a lot of time sneaking around behind the enemy I have stealth unlocked. Right now I am taking everyone out with silenced AR which is good but it runs out of ammo really fast.
Yeah, can't tell you how many times I've been shot by a sniper and ended up with like 17 HP and thought "thank fuck for increased health"
It really does help a lot to prevent one shot kills.
Every time I try and knife someone, I can be point blank and it will do nothing, takes me 2-3 tries before I can actually hit them. I have no idea what I'm doing wrong
EDIT: I don't have the knife upgrade skills, but might try them out as I'm using a sniper build right now.
I am going to go commando next. I might be able to keep my AR but I am definitely unlocking the SMG and Shotgun.
I got a 5 kill streak with the knife attacking Valor's fuel station. They had no idea I was inside and they repaired the gate, was a bit entertaining.
Quick question for you guys, is the sub-sub machinegun (the secondary one) worth it? I just unlocked it, but I had to give up my armor or my grenades to equip it (I suppose I could give up my rifle, but shooting tanks is too fun)
Also, I just got first platoon MVP in a Domination (I believe, where they're trying to steal cars) defense match against Raven. I don't think I've gotten even third place before, so I was pretty happy.
I just got platoon leader twice and I got crap for exp >_>
I didnt get last, i got 4th and 2nd on my squad but i didnt get mvp. I was trying to drop those gas bombs on places i thought were popular but i only got 1 kill with it all day
Ya, I found the defense PL tactical strikes to be largely useless, I'd take the SL strikes over them. Strafing run and precision strike net you like +50 Exp every single time, and the strafing run gives you 8+ kills almost all of the time.
i'm getting really unlucky with getting SL while attacking lately, ive only been able to once but i wasn't aware at the time how to use airstrikes till like 15 min into the game (i think it was the 2nd time i was SL lol) but every time i tried to use them i can never get enough time to aim where i want it and i only get 1 kill. whats the best way to use the airstrikes and which ones are the most usefull
You can use them by opening your map and selecting the area you want to bomb from there, it's a lot easier that way.
