I didn't lose any leadership points when I vetted yesterday. Was able to be OIC when I hit 15.

    Huh, weird.

This is from 1.03v patch notes that are coming tomorrow.

Players no longer lose leadership points after entering “Veteran Mode.”
    Unless that was a glitch.

I think it may have only affected certain people. I kept all my leadership points when I veted

I vetted back to SVER and I had my leadership stuff too, once I hit 15(week back now?) I could do any leader(tho it was hard as fuck to get because of low exp)

About to go to class, but from reading around it looks like the update was a bit of a disappointment. Apparently: SMGs were severely gimped, Shotguns were largely unaffected (thank god), 3rd tier rifle improvements aren't noticeable, and LMGs are still about the same. If SMGs are as bad as everyone is making them out to be, I'll probably ditch my commando setup and go back to sniping.

I also think it is funny they fixed the door defuse glitch but didn't fix many of the glitches the other factions have like the ninja wall at F domination on Valor.
Yea, that's bullcrap to claim there isn't any kind of map imbalance. There are so many holes in Valor's Dom defense you can literally drive APCs right through them. There are roadblocks that you can drive around, a vehicle bridge you can drive over before it actually blows up at the start of a fight, and even when it's down you can just drive across the stream anyway, and of course the absolutely terrible bunker placements that make some of the turrets literally useless. With Raven's dom it's even worse, as their AAs are way too far away from their bunkers, their letter objectives are often times separated by boats so you can only reach one at a time where all other Dom maps put two in the same building, and worst of all their lack of roofing over their spawn point making it easy to bomb people as soon as they spawn. Valor Acqui has similar issues with gate and bunker placements (one gate is literally on the borderline so it's impossible to defend, WTF). And of course SVER's fortress strongholds in Sabo. While it's all well and good to exclaim "you can beat them if you just use teamwork, strategy and lots of smoke!", it's imbalanced because SVER's maps are the only place all three are needed to win.

Also, the bomb defusing fix was a proximity detection issue, but the hole in Valor's map is an actual map issue. All map issues will be addressed in one big patch, instead of fixing a map then re-downloading it a dozen times. The next big update was slated to bring those map fixes once they were all finished.

Also, what did Zipper do to Load-out costs?

Ya, there definitely are some map imbalances. The Raven AA on the tanker in domination can be taken down in the first minute, you can reach the AA without a bunker ever being able to detect you, and you don't have to blow up gates or anything to reach it. 2/4 of the sections on Valors domination are also terrible to defend, one is the bridge as you mentioned, and another is the part by the ocean, where there is a single road block that isn't even remotely near the bunkers (it's closer to the attacking team spawn point then it is to the bunkers). The one annoying thing about SVER maps is that every gate is always sandwhiched between 2 bunkers which makes it a lot harder to get your tanks past the front lines. As for SVER sabotage, I don't think it's as bad as people make it out to be. As for aquisition, I never play that mode so I can't speak about the maps.

SVER's sabo is winnable, you just need to work twice as hard to actually do it. With Raven and Valor's maps, you can completely surround and overtake an objective, coming from all sides and causing the defensive team to lose focus and leave a wide opening to rush in. With SVER's maps, you have to enter their objective from one of 3 locations each, making it very easy to defend against small groups or single commandos. With SVER you need a squad based push, which should be needed for all maps imo, just to take a single objective.

And no, sneaking up the middle train tracks to come up on the side of A doesn't work. That tunnel and the steps that lead up from it are covered every time I go that way, many times by SVER guys from both sides of the map. It's a highly popular, well known attack route that's very easy to cover.

With Acquisition, Valor once again has terrible bunker and gate positions, and far too much cover around the bunkers that actual hinder defenders while helping attackers. No other maps allow you to park an APC right behind a bunker and have it be completely protected from turret fire. Meanwhile SVER's wall-o-bunkers next to the gates trick is seen again and Raven has roadblocks every five feet you have to blow through.

I'm tired of the debates over SVER's sabotage. The map is as easy/hard as raven or valor's. The only thing that makes it look too difficult are the retards who leave the game because they don't want to play the map. Last night was a PERFECT example. My squad got down to 3 people and we literally couldn't get out of our spawn. We didn't win the map, but as spots were refilled with people who didn't leave, we were able to take and pretty much hold the objective for the last 5 minutes.

I personally love attacking sver's sabotage (if my squad stays), it's a fun map.

I actually prefer to attack SVER's sabo map myself, partly because it is harder to get into A and B then on Raven's sabo.

people cry about sver, no matter what you say they will. Whoever the best is will be bitched about. Reasons will be made as to why its unfair. Then they will make a change, raven will lead and will say why that is unfair. Just chill and have fun. It is not like SVER owns everything, its somewhat even now.

Whining about unbalanced maps is just a bitch move in my opinion and I am sick and tired of it. Really the main things that need to be fixed are actual glitches and bugs in the maps. Other than that yeah different maps require different strategies big surprise.

I haven't been able to play the Raven sabotage map ever since the full game was released Each time, its either attacking Valor, or defending against Valor. Because of that I've basically just stayed away from that game mode. At least the other 2 have 3 maps to play on D:

Things that I know need to be fixed, on ravens truck map(think raven) there is that tree can you can glich over on the left side to get to a safe spawn spot. Then there is the rock on the right that you can bring your APC over again and glich over(I guess its might not be a glich but >.> it seems like one) and spawn with a 2nd group right next to that bunker. No one would think of dropping bombs on it because that side never has the APCs.

Stuff like that I understand needs to be fixed. I am with you all on that 100%(tho I do tend to use the right side glich if my team cant get past the bunkers ~_~)

Its evil when you have a APC shooting that cant be seen because of cover of trees and 2 full squads and maybe a 3rd on a two sided attack. It is really unfair and you can overtake that side in no time. With that said this can be done anyways you can hide the APC over on that side to start with, the glich just makes it that much more evil with a APC where it should not be.

the week spot in svers sabo map is the center area. You can send a full squad that way and flank them. Ya you might run into one maybe two people on the way, thats still better then the full brunk of two squads defending 3 attack paths. Most of the time you have 2-3 people on the area you have to attack and one to two people on the left all the way away from the center, following that up with one random person that is in no mans land.

A full squad with med kits can overtake that area in no time. It just takes thinking.

The "magic wall" at Valor's domination map at point F is hilarious. It's both an advantage and disadvantage to them, they can run out of the wall and disarm the gate or kill anyone planting on the gate. But the attacking team can also just run straight through it to get to F without having to blow the gate up (assuming they know about it)

There's a gate leading in to F (it's literally right in front of F) on Valor domination map. JUST to the right of the gate (facing it from the outside) the wall can be ran through from each side, it's pretty funny. You'll see Valor people running out of it and shooting gate armers and disarming them.

The first time I noticed that I just camped in front of that spot and took them out every time they ran through it. It was so funny because it caught them off guard that I was right there ready to shoot them. I never ran through it I just guarded it while C4 was on the door.

i might have to poison gas that hole next time were attacking lol. i like the beeping at the end of the c4 cycle, much more helpful then making a run for whatever's charged and die the moment you get there lol..

I'm loving the lock on rocket launcher now that it only takes 3 rockets to blow a turret. As for the SMG, I haven't really tried it yet because I got giddy and immediately respeced from commando to sniper, but apparently the nerf is a lot more profound in the vipera than in Raven/Valor SMGs. I've been using the supressor when sniping this time though instead of using the 50 cal rifle, and it's pretty fun. It's harder to rack up kills but it's a lot more satisfying when you do. The 2nd tier rifle is also pretty nice, and it's a lot better than people make it out to be. The ability to stack the silencer and variable scope shouldn't be overlooked, and you can still rack in easy body shot kills if you're shooting at people in firefights.
