It's also great for holding rooms in domination, and camping doorways allows for some easy kills. One thing that's really annoying though is the range of bomb charges. It's really annoying blowing up a gate for +10 exp, only to have it take out 4 teammates as well for a net -10 exp.
That sounds like a leader thing most bombs are like 10 exp+ 30/35 with a frago on them. It does suck but it is fine to me because not onlt can a leader sorta fix it by fragoing what you did it on, but its sorta true if you bomb something people close by will die lol. It takes some getting use to if you a use to cod play still, they are nothing like each other. Ill be on the weekend, in a small clan because they all have mics and talk. But he always has the group open so I can invite people anytime.

Does ranking up unlock anything other than new game types at 8 and leadership at 15?

Besides skill points, not really. The only reason there are even level requirements for certain modes seems to be the devs trying to ease players into the big modes slowly. Little do they know that even at levels where people can enter these fights...no one seems to know what they're doing.

Yeah it almost seems like the level requirement should be much higher but that would be frustrating for people. Also leveling up gives you skill points to spend on new weapons and abilities.

Looks like the date for the first update was just announced.

Also it sucks because of school and work I haven't played in 3 days and it is killing me. I can't wait for this weekend to tear it up. I just upgraded my assault rifle to the tier 2 gun and have forward grip and 4x optical scope too. Should be fun to play with.

Well it's a start, and it shows they're still working hard on this game, unlike some other Devs who release a game then go on vacation for a month and a half. And I'm sure we'll get DLC soon enough, there's a bunch of head gear and camo patterns that were removed from the beta that are probably already on the disc. But after only a week of being out, we probably won't hear anything about it any time soon. My only hope is that the first DLC is free since they'll most likely just be unlocking things in the game already. Though getting access to the pre-order armors would be real nice, especially since they're more then just a simple skin change.

Zipper have a much better reputation than Slant Six, so yeah, expect tweaks here and there. Hoping some additional content too.

Personally I feel like the tweaks and updates are the most important thing right now fixing glitches and server issues. I am glad they are fixing some of the server issues this fast.

Thats the exact gun set up I use except I also use a silencer. Its really accurate and the 4x zoom is awesome for picking off snipers or other enemies that are pretty far away, like you should have no problem killing people you can barely see if they are laying prone or standing still in the distance.

The only problem I had with that 4x scope was when dealing with people at close range. It was just so hard for me personally to aim when it zooms in like that D: I haven't changed off of LMG yet though. Gonna go on and get that medal before I do any changing around with my weapon setup. TBH, from experience in the beta with the tier 2 machine gun and now with the starter gun, I'm finding the starter gun much better overall. It might just be the rate of fire that makes it better for me.

Went all the way up the sniper tree. Finding the 1 shot 1 kill rifle to be pretty fun. Only gripe is the same as any other fps, player/server latency makes it fuck annoying to snipe if an enemy is on the move to either side. Leading them works 10% of the time, as you never really know how far ahead to lead them due to their ping.

I have found so far that a good tactic is to use the scope for anyone far away and then shoot from the hip for the super upclose and personal firefights. It has worked so far.

Squad Leader is fucking fun, did it in Acquisition and Domination and we won both times. Surgical Strike in domination took out about 20 people lol

I'm starting to notice things seem to be evening out in the war. At this time, each side has two contracts in a specific mode (Valor:Sabo, Raven:Aqui, SVER:Dom) and even the Domination matches have been a LOT closer each time we played. Of the last 5 Dom matches I've played though, all 5 have been won by the attackers. So I guess people are finding out the best way to bust through bunkers now and overtake the objectives.

And I had a beastly Sabo match last night attacking Raven. It started off as your usual noobfest of a completely silent squad of snipers who did nothing while Raven held their Sabo point pretty damn tightly. After about 10 minutes of getting no where with neither side touching their objectives I said screw it and just went Rambo on them. Sneakin up from behind, taking out two guys before I even got to the camp, including knifing a sniper which is always fun. Got up into their Objective, circled around back clearin out two guys, then took over and held the damn thing for a good 2 minutes solo. They eventually got it back, but my charge must have lit a fire under the rest of my squads asses because all of a sudden there was a lot less snipers and a lot more people rushing the objective. After another strong charge, we took it back, held it and headed to C.

I get there, and the front stairs are already filled with gas. I say screw it, charge through all the poison and make it into the objective and it's literally 3 live Raven and 4 dead Valor. I take out two Raven, raise a guy, he takes out the third raven while I raise another, he plants at the objective while the other guy gets up and we hold it to win the match.

What started out as just another quiet match full of random noobs ended up being a pretty dominant turn around in the end.

I like that they're trying to make the factions different, but the problem with a purely-online game is that humans hate to lose and will just flock to whatever faction is winning the most.
    Just wanted to bump/quote this.

As of right now SVER has the lead on Dominance, Raven has the lead on Acquisition and VALOR(wtf LOL) has the lead on Sabotage.

You might THINK SVER has an advantage but really noone does in this game
