Repaired issue that caused renamed PSN IDs to be incorrectly identified as its previous name when logging in.

Glad to see the change to the revive points and med kits. Would rather have them fix getting stuck inside bunkers for the whole match without being able to respawn though.
There's still more info they're gonna release about this update, so for all we know respawning in objects and ARs are gonna get a massive fix as well.
Nooooooooooo my poison gas grenades!
Yessssssssss now I get 10 xp while the other people using gimp med kits get only 5. mwa hahahah
oh well hot damn. Who says "has been changed to X from Y". I definently read that entire post as "has been changed FROM x TO y". I thought they were raising the cost of everything to make everyone more unique <_<
Nah, they're lowering the cost of most of the guns except the LMG so the majority of people stop using the LMG all the goddamn time. Just wish they'd lower AR by 100 or so, would be nice.
I was going to trade this in tomorrow but I think I'll hold onto it a little longer.

This is a big one.
Our latest MAG update is undoubtedly the most comprehensive yet. As we mentioned last week, MAG v1.06 is packed with updates and upgrades that our dedicated community has been waiting for. Expanded Medical Kit functionality, better “team kill” prevention, improved vehicle physics, weapon updates and credit adjustments, altered medal and ribbon requirements, and additional gun ports for our APCs are just a few of the several new additions that players can expect alongside a number of needed bug fixes. But reading about it isn’t enough — you’ll just have to download it to see how much it has improved the game for yourself.
MAG v.1.06 will be available starting Tuesday, June 8 at 1am Pacific/ 4am Eastern/ 8am GMT. You can check the list below for the total catalog of items included with the patch. For the complete history of MAG fixes and patches, don’t forget to visit our official patch notes page at http://blog.mag.com/blog/patch-notes/.

As hinted at by a Sony survey distributed last month (and then a rash of recent unintentional Trophy unlocks), the world of MAG will soon expand rather drastically with the June 22 release of the Interdiction DLC pack. The bundle, which will cost $9.99, includes the titular Interdiction gametype, where two factions storm one of three brand new, completely neutral maps, vying to control three command posts. Each post your team holds adds to your score while depleting your enemy's, which could lead to some lengthy tug-of-war encounters.
In addition to the new gametype and maps, the pack includes a "Heavy Improved" armor set for each faction, which promises to turn an ordinary soldier into a "walking tank." (Hardly sounds fair, does it?) Players will also be able to unlock a selection of new medals and Trophies -- if they haven't done so already. Click past the jump to see the full list of available accolades.
Ribbons
* Jump Start – Capture 2 Command Posts in a round of Interdiction
* Mowing the Grass – Get 10 kills with a vehicle turret in one round
* Dashed Hopes – Destroy 2 mines with gunfire in one round
* Cannonball Rally – Become an MVP (1st, 2nd, or 3rd) in a round of Interdiction
Medals
* Roadside Assistance – Capture 10 Interdiction control points over your career
* Landscape Architect – Get 50 kills with a vehicle turret over your career
* BOD – Destroy 20 mines with gunfire over your career
* Designated Driver – Earn 5 Interdiction MVPs over your career
Trophies
* King of the Hills (Bronze) – Earn the Roadside Assistance medal while playing Interdiction
* Red Ball Express (Silver) – Earn the Designated Driver medal while playing Interdiction
* Road Runner (Gold) – Capture 3 Interdiction control points in a single round
Wow, okay that sounds pretty fun. I wanted to buy a PSN card and now I know what i can buy with it. Depending on how far spaced out Interdiction is, I expect this to be pretty good. -If the areas are TOO close then people will get in the habit of skipping their objective and just going to the tower deemed "the most fun" in the community; ala Domination vs Valor, where everyone thinks its an awesome idea to go down the center of A/B.
-If the areas are TOO far then if your crappy team does crappy on one of the strongholds then you're pretty much stuck there. I'm sure it will be hard to convince your team to travel across half a map to help the other teams out.

Official DLC blog post with video
I guess that's why they dropped the C cost on so many weapons, Heavy Armor is already hard enough to equip. But if the new armor actually makes a difference in how many hits you can take, I may have to rebuild my defender load out.
I love the shotgun even more now, had 49 kills with it before the damn game froze. Tried using the SMG a bit before that and thought it blew. I was doing great with it the past two days.
From what I'm hearing, the SMG got some major ass kicking boost, and the shotgun seems to have a tighter spread making for longer range kills.
And from trying out the LMG for a Dom match, I found the damn thing is impossible to aim while moving. If I wanted accuracy I would have to whip out my pistol(which is beastly now) to shoot on the move. The only time I could get any kills with the LMG was when I stopped moving or I just kept spraying into a crowd. Which is fine by me as I mainly use it for Anti-armored combat anyway.
They also seemed to have ninja boosted the ARs as they were dishing out some monster damage last night. LMGs are still the most commonly used weapon, but ARs have a lot more punch to em.
I guess I'll get on and try this. How drastically are the medal requirements reduced, like by 1/2 or 3/4? I thought 200 repairs/destroys was kinda high, but doable.
Cool, 12hr maintenance started right as went to get on.
Ribbon requirements were lowered to a reasonable amount for anyone to get a lot of now. Medals were lowered to a ridiculously easy level (from 200 repairs to 25/50 mostly). Can Plat this game in no time now.
I was kind of afraid of that, but I didn't really want to do 200 for each. I guess I'll have some medals popping up when I can get on. I think 100 would have been good though, so you still need to actually do something.
Is this game worth bothering with if I were to play it casually? Staples in my area has it for $20 off, and was considering picking it up, but I don't know if I'd get much enjoyment out of it since my net has been shitty the past month, and that I've been fairly busy with FFXI.
It seems like the safer bet is to just wait on Socom 4, but the only problem with that is that I expect the MAG community to be pretty dead by then, which would blow as I wouldn't mind trying out the 128 vs 128 mode.
If your connection has been slow it shouldnt be a problem. i was playing on a slow wireless connection without issues.
As for casually, youre not really going to miss anything by not playing every day. If you like shooters and want one that requires teamwork, you'll probably like MAG
MAG is definitely worth it's price tag now. The community is small, but games still start fairly quickly most of the time. It's a fun shooter, easy to pick up and make somewhat of a difference, and yet still unique enough to not be classified as an "MW2 with/without" game.
