Last I checked, different mobs had different evasion.Originally Posted by Thorny

Of course not.
Because FFXI = Meriting.
Duh!
Edit:
Never really liked this trade off, in terms of the PCC. I could be terribly out of place here and very wrong, but...
Assuming you have 292 scythe skill before torque, putting the torque on takes you from 282 to 289, making it give you effectively 7 accuracy. So, changing from Justice to PCC, you get 3 accuracy, but lose 10/11 attack. Making that equivalent to a bit over 3 attack per point of accuracy. If you apply that to back armor, and it'd be like putting on cuchulain's when you could have a theoretical back piece that'd be +4 str/26 attack. Dunno, just always sorta saw it as one of those trades that wasn't as... great. If that 3 acc is the difference between cap and not cap, I suppose I could see it, but meh.
As always, you are only good at throwing random comment but unable to back up your statement. What is this magical mobs that requires more than 506 accuracy to cap ? Sounds like an easy question for you since you "seem" to imply that many mobs have that much eva, as a justification for your useless epeen back item.
Just came back to the game after a little break. So Im a bit clueless to the last two updates if anything good was introduced.
But I thought i would post up my DRG and ask for any friendly advice.
TP
Spoiler: show
I still keep my hit build thanks to V fork, but its not a "true" one. Im really aiming to get Aurum Body to solve that. Also need Love Torque, Black Tath, and Ive heard the new Odin earring is good for TPing?
Drakes
Spoiler: show
Need Heca Feet (working on it), Heca Hat (1/18 on Odin so far and not to me), and would Love Torque be better than Gorget for a crit hit build?
Earring = Minuet.
Wheeling
Spoiler: show
Obvious upgrades i can think of is Heca Hat + Triumph Earring.
Jump/High Jump
Spoiler: show
I use full Ares's for the chance to get double the TP back over the attack boost from AF. For High Jump i drop the bibiki shell and sub in Tiphia Sting.
Healing Breath
Spoiler: show
Back piece = Marid Mantle, would like to upgrade to gigant or atleast +1 it.
Earrings = Physical, again would like to upgrade to Cassie.
Waist = +45 HP hume RSE.
Also upgrading from Saurian to Wyrm would be nice.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Typically on things Ive missed over the past few updates. I generally use Pizza in most situations i can, and Im 8/8 Polearm.
Very tasty DRG!
@Drakesbane: You currently have 109 DEX which means that the DEX you have added will likely pale in comparison to STR in terms of adding damage (it can be useful to carry two sets around and use the STR one on stuff with high AGI). Love Torque would likely be better than Gorget when you get Heca Feet as well because it'll give you a comfortable 117+ DEX which'll ~cap your Drakesbane's crit rate on most fodder mobs.
@Healing Breath: You can start in +HP gear for yourself and end the "cast" in +Wyvern HP gear in order to maximise the amount of HP restored. Items like Chanoix (sp?)'s Gorget come to mind.
Once again you don't answer the question. Answer me. What is this myterious mob that require more than 506 accuracy to cap on ¿ In your post you pretend that you do real endgame, fine, you should threfore have exemple(s). Oh wait, you exclusively use pld to tank therefore your accuracy high.ding.
Agreed, very nice DRG. For Healing Breath I'd definately look into some Wyvern HP gear for after your HP down cast. Chanoix's Gorget, Ostrger Mitts, Wyvern Mail, and Drachen Brais +1 are fairly easy and cheap upgrades. In fact, I think I soloed the NM for the Chanoix's Gorget on DRG.
Ostreger are a fucking lie on AH.
Nice Drg ^^
I didn't pay attention to his Helm stats (Assumed no DEX!).
Another alternative (Though I would have to check the total accuracy for this one) is using:
Drachen Hands+1 (dDEX+1)
Pixie Earring (dDEX+2)
Black Tathlum (dDEX+1)
This in conjunction with the feet and cap should enable you to use WS gorget. The part I haven't calculated yes is the costs of doing so, which is:
0.1fTP v 2STR+7ATT
On the other hand, if you're at 113 DEX without the torque, you should be able to sacrifice 1DEX for some other stat.
Thanks for all the great comments!
I didnt realise you could start HB in Max HP gear and switch into wyvern HP. I actually have most of the extra wyern HP+ gear that was listed, I just always thought activating it earlier would be better in the long run, but if I can get in both thats great.
I will work on getting those few final extra pieces to pump my DEX up to 117~ as a replacement for Pixie Earring would the +2 dex einherjar earring be worthwhile if it makes or breaks that final DEX?
Thanks again!
The above list gives exactly 4DEX extra (The amount you need to hit 117). Unless you can add one more DEX elsewhere, you cannot replace Pixie.
