Exactly what statement are all these 35 DNC sub ppl trying to make? "Hey look how totally un-gay I am, I stopped levelling FFXI's most feminine job as soon as possible".

Demanding fully leveled subs is usually cosmetic to begin with, it was silly from the beginning in almost all cases. Only a handful of jobs get something truly useful in the last couple levels (/drk and /nin being the 2 most obvious), most of the time it's token shit like 1 vit and 5 hp. I'd consider not having str merits a worse offense than having dnc 35 instead of 37 really.

Mage subs get new spells almost every single level, while melee subs get new skills every 5-10 and that's really what you're leveling the sub for in the first place. By 35 you have drain samba II and that's the last skill you can get subbed so why waste time finishing it when there's more useful and fun shit to do? Leveling subs has always been considered top priority to people in FFXI, even more important than leveling your main, but half the time it's not even justified since leveling your main gives you new gear, WSes, etc. that outweigh the benefits of a couple stat points here and there from your sub.

Laziness in getting 7 HP, 1 vit, and 1 agi? I don't think anyone would be worth posting in this thread if they lacked gear that gave them these bonuses (assuming a competent level of gear otherwise), so why complain about them not getting these bonuses from a sub?

If it was something he was going to be using regularly in an exp party like say WAR, or NIN, yes having it at 35 would be very gimp, but its a solo sub job and you get absolutely nothing useful at 36 or 37 except as said above 1AGI, 1VIT, and about 7HP....

Its a waste of time that you can better spend doing other things.

This is a gross misunderstanding, If someone is smart enough to realize leveling a Solo sub job two level past its usefulness then i'd think they're smarter then someone who will waste 1-2 hours in a dead end exp party leveling a sub job for 7 HP..

Whos the stupid one, the one who realizes "Hey, 35 is the last level my DNC Sub gets anything worthwhile, i should stop and go spend my time doing something more productive" or the one who says "GOTTA BE PERFECT GO GO AGI?VIT/HP+7"

Again if it were a Popular exp party job where those extra levels would bring up say STr, DEX, or in terms of say NIN/SCH give you useful spells like Regen II or Utsu: Ni its incredibly gimp... but its not.

Don't know about you guys, but if my sub job is gimp regardless of whether or not its useless past a certain level, having that number below 37 would bother the fuck out of me. I'm sure there are more people out there like me D:
