Don't know about you guys, but if my sub job is gimp regardless of whether or not its useless past a certain level, having that number below 37 would bother the fuck out of me. I'm sure there are more people out there like me D:

My reasoning is with Despain, it would really bug the fuck out of me. You guys are right, it absolutely doesn't mean much, but it does create a perception of laziness, regardless of what the facts are.

Then again, people soloing wrong does bring me great rage.

Except he's not lacking it from gear, but from leveling a job, which may take what, 1 hour? If you're using the "I leave it at 35 and go do something else more productive" card, you damn better not stand around Whitegate doing nothing for more than one hour because, you know, you could have been getting the last exp points to finish /DNC and not look like a lazy gimp.

I agree it doesn't matter if it's 35 or 37; I'm just saying it screams gimp who doesn't care about finishing a subjob and is, therefore, not worth anyone's time.

I'm of the mindset of it being seen as lazy if you don't cap your subjobs no matter how small the bonus is.

Unfortunately what is and is not gimp is entirely based on popular opinion, and as this is not considered to be gimp (or even necessary) not having it =/= gimp.
