RNG friend of mine says it does since 5 ratt > 5 racc because racc is so easy to overload on. I'm just kind of taking his word for it since my RNG is, like, 8.

It's true to an extent, but at low level ranged accuracy fucking sucks. I lost count how many arrows I pissed away with misses, and that was with HQ gear and capped skill from 1-37.

Rng. Neck is a good piece if you can't afford PCC, but if you ignore that how can you possibly defend someone lvling rng using a balance and shikaree ring when NQ beetle are better, who's uing centurians gear (lv30) when noct NQ is better,



and most importantly using a fucking centurian's sword

*sigh* Sadly I have a DRG friend who is slowly becoming like the one in your pic, and as much as I convince her even just 3% haste is better than all her acc gear, she just doesn't goddamn listen. She uses a Virtuoso Belt for TP, as well as askar legs and body. She wants the hands, and even the feet for TP.

She won't pay someone to get her homam stuff, but she has a Z.mail. She won't buy dusk gear, because she feels the slow movement speed is worse than having a gimpy TP set. She won't even buy a haste belt, because none of them have accuracy+ on them except for swift.

Depends. I've met people who are all, "Yeah, I know my gear isn't 'the best' but I just want to have fun, not be 'the best.'" Nothing inherently wrong with that as long as they gear halfway competently. Not everyone wants to whore Salvage for months on end, and if their big goal is to play with friends or stick to low-intensity endgame events like Dynamis, sure, okay. Not really worth this thread unless there's something really wrong with their gear.

Then there are the people who throw a bitch at you the minute that you so much as insinuate that any piece of equipment is better or worse than any other. The ones that call basic math "assumptions" (even shit like how much att you get from str, which you can see in the equipment window—but it's apparently still just an "assumption") and act like there's no way to "prove" anything outside of just eyeballing shit. I run into those kinds of gimps on a depressingly regular basis, and they're the ones I suggest be thrown into a pit of knives.
