Ignoring that any human being who calls himself "Tigole Bitties" and uses words like "cacksuggar" should be immediately euthanized and definitely never allowed near video game development, it is worth noting that whiny, crying Muqq copy-pasted one of Tigole's parting rants to SOE in his own parting rant to Blizzard.
And a 72-hour ban is a slap on the wrist. Resetting the whole thing is not the point. Blizzard is effectively trying to say, "Stop using exploits, we know you know you're using them, and you're never going to be able to reclaim your achievement because you cheated." Good on Blizzard, too. If they simply reset the encounter on Tuesday night, the no-lifers over at Ensidia would've probably managed to claim their title, albeit by finding some other exploit. Or so they'd have us all believe, anyhow.
Ensidia being outclassed always makes me smile.
It's fucking BLIZZARD. Nuff said. They don't test half the shit they put out. Look at the newest patch making WG unplayable, or the patch fucking up 30% of it's playerbase's install files and making them have to reinstall.
Lich King wasn't in the PTR, therefore he hardly got any testing most likely. Same as Anub from ToC. Blizzard can't test shit.
Explains the Ensidia incident by one of the members if anyone cares. They knew what they were doing, nothing real new that anybody didn't know.
assuming, of course it's real. Take it with a grain of salt.
Me in all my infinite wisdom didn't link anything. Highfive, anyone?

I didnt say they were unkillable. I said the fucking company can't test their own shit w/o player involvement. I guess you enjoy paying a monthly fee to beta test each new dungeon? I would expect some more polish from a company making so much money and so far into the MMO timeline. How long has WoW been out? C'Thun I can kinda see they made mistakes in testing, but still making a mistake like this?
So blizzard leaves bugs and glitches in their game, players find them, sometimes on accident, sometimes on purpose and blizzards response is to ban them. Ok that's fine, but at least realize you need to maybe up your testing protocol?
I listed the only three incidents (outside of the Ensidia incident) I can remember where people were actually banned for exploiting bugs, and they were all extremely flagrant. If you have a more thorough catalog to back up this claim I'm all ears. Yes the saronite bomb bug slipped through their internal testing. But so far no significant bugs were found in any other ICC encounter besides Saurfang being broken for 48 hours. This hardly supports the 'hay guyz lol it's blizzard they don't test shit and ban the people who find bugs!' stand you're taking.
Didn't the original Anub have a gimmick where pallies could just spam Holy Wrath and negate all the adds? Yeah that's not something you would test at all! I mean who the fuck would ever try to AoE stun a bunch of AoE undead mobs?
It doesn't matter if guilds are banned over it at times, a bug is a bug. And those 3 are more then enough as all 3 of them involved very VERY easy to test circumstances. There are other minor bugs that have plagued the game here and there that get fixed eventually. I mean it's not as bad as Aion not having the NPC to swap gear working even a few months after release, but it's still lazy in house testing.I listed the only three incidents (outside of the Ensidia incident) I can remember where people were actually banned for exploiting bugs, and they were all extremely flagrant. Lol this thread is retarded sorry, how can you even compare a boss that was just released 2 days ago (which has died) with AV, you haven't even played the game and making these statements...
Nobody was banned for doing this, and they didn't adjust the encounter at all after they patched Holy Wrath.
You're assuming a lot about what is easy to test, and I don't think you even understand what Overrated and Exodus were doing to get themselves banned. And those 3 are more then enough as all 3 of them involved very VERY easy to test circumstances.
funny going by that, 1/3 of my guild should have gotten fucked by the patch? Factoring in normal exaggeration, i'd say it's more likely 1-5% of hte playerbase got the patch fucked up, and I'd chalk the majority of that up to network hiccups, corrupted files, etc etc.
Maybe i'm a jesus with computers, but 4 years of FFXI, 2+ years of WoW and never once had a patch fuck up. Same can be said with the majority of the people I play with.
As for the testing thing, You come up with a surefire way to recreate the strain of 11 million people playing, then you can complain. I'll admit some of Blizz's spagetti code has left me confused (hi2u Strangulate bugging out Mage Armor), but the majority of the bitching is nothing more then 12yo QQ and the tears are quite delicious.
Adjusting Holy Wrath adjusted the encounter. It was a bug in the encounter blizzard didn't test but the playerbase decided to try it out. Once blizzard got word they went in and fixed it. They didn't ban people because...you shouldn't be banning people for beta testing your own shit.
I'm not even sure what you're arguing anymore. You characterized Blizzard as a company incapable of testing 'half their shit' and with an itchy trigger finger on the banhammer anytime its unsuspecting playerbase stumbled across the bugs in their game. Ensidia not getting punished for their world first Hodir HM invalidates the second point, and I don't even know how to respond to the first point.
My point is this. Since Naxx we have had 3 new dungeons with 3 new end bosses. Each of them was not put on the PTR because blizzard wanted them to be a surprise.
Each of these 3 bosses had a bug associated with them, the reason Naxx didn't is because it was just copied over really.
So blizzard has gone 3/3 in failing on their end to test an encounter.
The ban is fine, it really should be perma for Ensidia, but blizzard is in their pocket too much for that to happen. So they get a slap on the wrist.
