Now that i think about it, you're right. I almost always order chicken sandwitches, which is usually mayo+lettuce (and maybe tomato/bacon/cheese/etc). When I worked at burger king, every burger we made had ketchup.

If you DROWN your food in ketchup then yes you are a retard. If you know how to use sauces ( I say sauces because ketchup is just another sauce) properly then you can use ketchup in variety of great situations where it doesn't overpower the food. Like eggs, chorizo and ketchup, or ketchup is great on top of meatloaf, my wife usually puts a layer of brown sugar, ketchup, and mustard on top of the meatloaf and then bakes it.

The whole point in using ketchup is to drown out bad food because it doesn't really taste good many things other than burgers (or at the very least it doesn't improve the flavor of something that already taste good. If anything, it usually makes it worse).

Well, chicken is a very large part of my diet (inb4blackjokes). Most of the non-chicken things I eat are things people don't typically put ketchup on, so yeah, maybe that's why I don't use ketchup.

Don't have to be canadian to enjoy some good gravy on fries (maybe cause New england is so close to Canada but shits common at all the diners here). The stuff europeans put on fries are delicious, mayo is one of my favorite fry sauces now on the rare occasion I have some. Also wtf is a frostie?

Most fries I order are usually somewhat juicy. I don't like fries that aren't good on their own or with a little bit of salt. I usually wont even go to a fast food restaurant if I don't like their fries on their own. And if I do go there, I just don't order fries. To me, ketchup isn't a viable solution for fries that aren't good on their own.

See I disagree I like ketchup. But I use it intelligently. The whole point of using ketchup is not to just drown out bad food. I like the taste of ketchup and used properly it can add to food just as well as any other sauce. I don't know why people think ketchup is different from any other sauce. If you drown your food in bbq sauce or siracha or soy sauce you are doing the same retarded thing. Yes sometimes you do use it to mask bad food but used sparingly on good food it works just as well.

This obviously doesn't work if you just don't like ketchup which is a different story and has no bearing on what "the point" of ketchup is.
