Seeing Itzhak Perlman was pretty cool, don't get to see a (widely considered) virtuoso on the violin too often.

I think the funnest concert I've been to though was JJ Grey and Mofro, such a great florida band that is just below being mainstream.

Edit: you would so fist someone if "he" wanted it? wtf? lol

Lady gaga - She is the best definition of a performance artist. Plus, she kills on the piano.

Sara Bareilles - Soulful and amazing the band was phenomonal and her vocals and improv kept everyone's attention.

Regina Spektor - She's so whimsical and irreverent, as evidence by her music. I especially loved when she told us to sing along. She was obviously having fun which made everyone else have fun and smile and laugh, whether they wanted to or not.

    my best are:
    - Tori Amos - I don't care what you think about her, she is one hell of a talented bitch. can YOU play two keyboards AT ONCE, one with each hand, while singing? that is some impressive shit
    - ABBA live. so fucking lame. yet so fucking fun.
    - Smashing Pumpkins. Can't go wrong with that shit. seen them several times, including the 200,000+ attendees at the free live concert in MPLS, which was the only city that would allow them to pull that shit off in the entire USA. oh my god so amazing.

Best concert I been to was probably my first.

Went to see Scary kids scaring kids, didn't know how concerts worked out and saw 3 other bands that I really enjoyed. Was the best night, got my first black eye, almost passed out, and crowd surfed :c oh how I miss those days.

    Also fist.

I'd kill to see Regina. I wouldn't expect much, mind you, despite what you've said. But on the strengths of US and On The Radio and Better, I'd so go for it.

and no matter what anyone says, Lady Gaga is a fucking genius. you don't get into Juliard on reputation alone. she just chose to take a different direction than 99% of their graduates. and I say, good for her. fucking good for her indeed.

Those are her more mainstream song. To a mainstream audience, she is deceptively odd. Anti-folk is he original genre, although she has gone from blatant oddity with some mainstream-pleasers to a somewhat satisfying middle ground. Although, I kind of long for the days of Aching to Pupate and Ne Me Quitte Pas. You should look up some of her songs on youtube. Also, if you like on the radio, you might like Consequence of Sound, which is great example of the middle ground between catchy, memorable, and odd.

I love each and every one of the songs you've mentioned except for Consequence of Sound, which I haven't heard yet. And I will listen to it now.

Point is, Regina Spektor is vastly, unbelievably underrated.

although P.S. NOBODY IS BETTER THAN TORI AMOS LIVE. BITCH PLAYS TWO FUCKING PIANOS AT ONCE. TWO PIANOS. AT ONCE.

    just saying.

You like Aching to Pupate? O_O May I stalk you? Srsly, for a single second, I seriously considered tracking you down. The people around me have such obvious taste in music.

I think i'm gonna look up Tori Amos live. I'm not sure what to think of this two pianos thing. At the moment, i'm trying to withhold judgement.

Edit: I looked up a video. Do want. She's pretty impressive.

Edit2: Just read a Tori Amos interview. She seems pretty cool. Unpredictable, but in a fun way.
