    its not about being scary, just places that were designed to be sterile and serene all rotted and abandoned coupled with the morbid history most of the asylums have

    I love old buildings like this too -- you can really feel the history in them, but it's also sad to see they've gone to ruin I love that photo with the red ivy inside, wow!

    theres an abandoned psych hospital 10 min from my house

    unfortunately, unscheduled "tours" are a common thing, theres almost always a cop car waiting there

    urban exploration is pretty common world wide, but like most things it only takes a few idiots stealing shit to ruin the fun for everyone

    most people who do it just do it to see whats in there and take pics like the ones posted... its a pretty cool hobby actually
