Hey everyone =)
I would like to announce the screenshot functionality is complete.

We really need this tested by anyone who is willing to play around with it so we can move on safely to the next part of the site.
I wrote a more detailed blog post on our Developer Blog @ http://www.guildwork.com/blog/
Thank you for reading![]()
Looks interesting, only qualms I had with it, which I'm sure other people have said, is that it looks way too much like Facebook. I hope you guys eventually gravitate to a more original design.Other than that, it definitely looks very useful.
While I won't deny that Facebook is an inspiration, but the screenshot page looks like image page for many websites. The only thing it has in common with Facebook is comment positioning. Everything else is done distinctly different.
And as frustrating it is, there are some things in our design that we had before Facebook. (They added it in their latest redesign.)
Hey sorry if this is considered a bump, but anyway we have been working on character profiles, and we would like some input.
Our system tracks all the loot it finds as well as titles, we want to know how people would like to view this data.

At the moment the loot is just displaying in reserve order.
Do you guys what to see these it by slot, by letter name starts with? Any tips would be appreciated.
As for the titles section, it tracks how many times you get a specific title, so the only thing I can think of alphabetical with ability to sort by the number of times received.
As side from that the feed is functional, whenever it finds changes in your profile it posts them to your feed, and friends see the changes in real time on their dash board =)
wow, this is hardcore. good luck in your development.
Stan, this is really good work but I do have a few external concerns.
It seems right now you are really committed to this, but you have... lets say a history of quitting with flair. That was a while ago, I know, and I am not bringing it up for any other reason than to determine the level of commitment behind the developers to keep it going. I just have a bit of concern that some personal conflict may cause problems and then we will be without the resource.
Do you have a plan for continuity of the site and it's development?
Quitting with flair? If you are refering to when I quit before college (young people make mistakes). Aside from that I am pretty sure I beat FFXI to death before really quitting it. Can't really beat something like this to death because well, there are endless possibilities.
As I said before this is not a project, this is basically my plan for my future.
As long as enough people use it, and it can turn a profit, it will be something that is actively developed. Aside from what is shown in our release feature set, we got an huge list of things we want to implement, however they are things that will most likely cost us a lot of money to do, so we want to see what our revenue is like before we are able to implement. Once of our future features include live parsing (replacement for KParser) and graph generation that is saved on our server, video uploading, and much more.
On another note, here is a cool example of someone's profile who has been leveling.

* Ignore the profile pic, its same for every profile atm
Stan has a ton of flair.
I dislike the "Chubbs obtains a Beak Necklace +1" stuff, etc. I think it should be limited to non buyable gear or something, noone really cares about my hmp gear!
That'd only appear the first time you wore it anyway, and some buyable gear would be considered worth listing for (some) people.
Stan, less BG and more working.
I am going to limit FFXI items that go to feed to be at least Level 70, I wish FFXI had item rarity values, for WoW we can simply say Epic only =(
way to link my gear when im gimping it up in east ronf s lol
Looks like you added all the ffxi servers since I last visited. Made a profile for myself and I have to say the screenshots/tagging system is pretty slick. I liked how easy it was to upload screenshots. It seems to be coming along nicely.
Looks like you're still in the system. :3

Once you're ready to hire people I'll apply for doing things of this nature. Monotonous and boring tasks, gogo!
While I'm being serious, it brings me to a valid question for myself and possibly others who may be interested in participating in this company; What kind of hiring to you plan to do? By this I mean do you have a rough estimate of how many employees you'd want? I imagine this would be a work from home job, correct? What kind of qualifications would you want/require? I'd love to get into something like this, and any advice/information you can give, even if just speculation, would be immensely appreciated.
