We do intend to get an office once we can afford it simply because its better to work as a team when you are next to each other.

However offsite moderators, are definitely something we might invest in to make our life easier and allow us to code new features.

Some more bugs to report:

1. Logged in via Google ID and created my shit. When I went to add a character, each time I filled in one of the form fields (server, etc.) the AJAX window would go semi-transparent (as if it has lost focus.) Made it really hard to read and to find the next form field to fill in. Once I clicked inside a field the window would go back to normal opacity.

2. Created my character and pasted the URL for the Community Portal. However, if I click on the character name in the dashboard it just sends me to an error page with "shit broke 12321" Nice error names.

The character is either hidden to public on LS comm or has specific hidden fields, I havnt added error handling for that, thanks for reminding me, i will do it now.

Do you guys need any front/back-end development help before going to beta? I'd be interested in joining the team if you guys are expanding anytime soon.

I work as a UI designer but I am familiar w/ python, javascript, and reverse-ajax techniques, as well as played all 3 of the MMOs you guys are supporting. I'm intrigued by the technical decisions you guys have made and the prospect of working with people who happen to use the same technology I'm interested in. Also I think this product is really good.

Alright its been fixed =), if you wish for it to actually grab your info, you just need to change it on LS community, and it will pick it up within 6 hours.

Skipped a few pages so might have missed it. How exactly are you planning on turning a profit with this? is this gonna be a pay site where you pay for services/support or is this gonna be ad supported?

Ads on free sites, payed sites remove ads. The ads will be non obtrusive on free sites.

Currently the email has to identically match, so if you put caps inside the email when you registered it, you have to type it the same way to log in. (This is something I need to fix)

Could it possibly be that I registered my email in all lowercase, but for some reason the email field for login forces caps on the first letter? That's the only reason I see for it continually rejecting my email even though I'm in the system... Would like to know why it keeps forcing caps for the first letter =/

[edit] nvm I found the problem, my email in the search memory (the dropdown that suggests completion) had caps at the front, and the email entry box for some reason would not let me enter anything other than what came up in that dropdown box. If I manually changed the first letter to a different letter, it would accept the lowercase letter, but when I changed it back to the proper letter, it forced it into caps again. I had to clear my search and form history to allow me to log in. I see this as a potential problem =/

I fixed it =) the server now automatically turns the email into lowercase before checking.

Hi guys - this is Gunslinger's wife, the grad student you may have helped out in a thread he posted on my behalf asking for what a librarian looks like. I have another project I'd like to ask you to help me out with.

I am working on a big project right now for my Foundations of LIS class that is an "action research" project. That means I actually have to DO SOMETHING more than just reading other people's papers and writing about them.

What am I doing, you ask? Well! I am more interested in information studies than library studies, so I am studying how people who play MMOs seek information! And I am doing this via a usability study for Guildwork.com. I'm bringing in a lot of people who haven't used the site before, but it would be helpful for me to have more experienced users involved as well.

I hope this doesn't go against any mod rules or anything. In case it's not obvious, Stanislav is very aware of this and has given it the green light. There was an issue with the DNS servers while I was in Vegas, the site was actually still up, your ISP was just unable to resolve guildwork.com to the proper server IP.

Everything should be fine now.

I will be releasing a demo of the Guildwork DKP platform sometime this week.
