Yes but there is more then just guild screenshots, a user can have screenshots aswell.

Private. Don't want people seeing my cyber screenshots.

Either way, if you do enable private screenshots you should probably also enable (possibly already planned?) private user/guild blog entries. No point hiding a screenshot on the SS page, if you then make it public on your blog.

Maybe have 3 photo types, private to friends only, guild/ls only, and public to everyone?

    Couple of bugs:

    1. When I created my character I then went to create a guild but it told me I still needed to make a character. Refreshing the page fixed it (I think someone else had this issue too.)

    2. I've got a friend request from Username. It's possible that someone made an account named that but it seems more likely that it was a bug. I left the request in my queue in case you're actually able to view that sort of thing (username is Lokim.)

    A Suggestion:

Allow for copying and pasting events on the calendars. Repeating events would take care of most of the need for this but it would still be handy to be able to to do this, I think.

Username is an actual person heh, he befriended everyone on site it seems.

We plan to implement repeating events later.

An idea of sorts, I recall seeing this in guildwars (irony, iknorite) where the map overlay was scribable. To explain imagine an overlay map your entire group can use; say for Dynamis or any other large scale event. Where in GW you had the ability to write as if with a marker on the map where you wanted a group path to go in real time.

I imagine that maps will become extractrable in XIV as they were in XI. Once that comes to pass, I think it would be a great feature to have an overlay pop_on_top window that would allow a collaborative scribe or waypoint marking by raid leader/officer. Thought of it while looking at another thread asking about farming paths for dyna-xarc.

Would that be doable with current active scripting and webkit functionality?

Yes that is possible with our backend, however its something that could be a guildwork feature later on, rather then on release. I mean all it really takes is to have a little drag and drop representation of every person in the Guild, then have every person log on to the same page. and The leader just moves the pieces, its no more complex then chatting on our site's chat.

However I think this is a wonderful idea, and will be put on our near future feature list for after release.

Update: We have thought about this more, this will be a feature that we will be adding right after the ones that are currently planned are complete. Basically we will allow you to load an in-game map, ad we will give u "pawns" you can move around, similar to what you can do an RTS game. Thank you for the great feature idea!

You wouldn't know that though because you've demonstrably never picked up a book nor educated yourself on the matter. Let me guess, overweight housewife?

An interesting tool has been implemented into the mini-map, a drawing board. Players can draw upon the mini-map with their cursor, lines are created as if using a white marker; although the markings only last for a four or five seconds before disappearing. All members of your group are able to view these markings and each member can contribute to this (not only the leader). The usefulness lies when trying to decide upon a strategy or alerting players of something very important which is happening on the map (by clicking, but not holding the cursor on the map; a little flashing red alarm will appear). Very useful when wanting to direct the attention of the team, especially when playing in a player versus player match up.

    lol of course

Edit: Is there going to be a way (or is there a way) that people can apply to join a guild and submit like an app to the leaders for approval?

We have setup our CDN to serve images from multiple countries (mainly for the screenshots). So we are hoping people in their free time can try the Screenshot functionality, and tell us what they think of the upload process, and image load times.

Here is a screen crap of how awesome the feed looks with Screenshots on it =)

    http://www.gwcdn.com/screenshots/3e2...2da16be4bf.png

The screenshot section is not done and by the end of this weekend the following things will be added that don't exist atm.

    • Guild screenshot section
    • Screenshot commenting & rating
    • Character tagging
    • Screenshot captioning & deleting

Thank you in advance for anyone that does the test =)

This is an amazing idea and looks like its starting to come into its true colours, i didnt see this post originally but got directed from Therins previous post.

I read the first page and went straight to the Guildwork website and then proceeded to post it in our Sackholder forums, we have thinking of implementing a DKP system for a long time with increasing memeber numbers (dead game ya right) but this just looks amazing.

Props to all involved and looks like there is a truly dedicated team behind it. I think the LS might take to this very easily.

Apologies if this was already asked just dont have the time at present to go through each page but will there be the option to change the colour scheme etc of the menus / pages etc?

For standard users we are doing what you can contrast as Facebook vs Myspace. We will let you change the Logo, and change a lot of settings and widgets, but the main layout is controlled by us. However, on the premium version of Guildwork which will be released later, we will allow people to park a full domain (yourguild.com), and at the same time will give you full template control. It will be a premium feature for several reasons, but mainly because that way we do not have to make sure people are placing ads and rendering custom templates for guilds will cause more server load then our standard templates.

I remember seeing an app for WoW raid encounters that did exactly this a few months back on some blog. I'll see if I can find a link to it.

Edit: Found it, but apparently it is still in open beta. http://www.wow.com/2009/11/22/creato...unter-planner/
Don't mean it as criticism, I just remember useless info and thought it might be interesting for you guys~
