That's not really the case for omega. Assuming the reason you're all so obsessed with efficiency in endgame is so that you can finish the event sooner and gtfo to do something else. If that's the case then it doesn't affect omega: doesn't matter how long it takes you to take him to <5%, still probablly gonna farm him for chips for the last 25 minutes.

Oh I don't deny this at all. It's more the Job X vs Job Y arguments. Actually it's purely that regarding tanks. Rdm is a more efficient tank for some monster over pld? That may be true but to be honest: does that matter? Swapping a pld for a rdm on some fights wont magically free up ally members to drop and go do something else at the same time on most things. And if it does: Maybe they don't care. Maybe their happy doing events together because they findi t more enjoyable than splitting everyone up. Maybe they don't have better jobs online. Maybe their other [insert non-nin/pld tank job] doesn't actually want to tank, havin not leveled the job originally for that purpose. Maybe that was their only tank online?

Furthermore, when arguing efficiency > all like this, you're (a collective you, not you personally) also assuming everyone is in a "perfect" (in your eyes) ls that is always busy, always fighting something. Well I'm sorry but that just really isn't the case and befor you reply "it should be" or "get a better ls" or something similar: you need to accept that people just don't care. A lot of players wont find it fun if they're constantly having to do event after event alongside another event to be most efficient. They'd rather just take it easy. What is wrong with that?

Different. He spits out a pod at first 4 legs form, then not again until 24%. After that, it's time based.

SAM, WAR, DRK, insert dd, PUP, etc can do it too. It's the single fight where PLD is an efficient choice as a tank. You don't -NEED- PLD.
