Pods aren't 5minute timers unless this was changed recently. I remember doing Omega, I and a few others were under the impression they were on a 5min timer. We had one pop 3mins after another on a few occasions. We figured they repop when the loot pool clears (assuming no one passed anything) which is 5mins. We had a pod pop without the stuff still in the lootpool and it didn't clear for a bit. I dunno, it just seems pretty random to me.

Omega always pops one when he goes into his final mode, even if he just popped one

He also pops one at a seemingly random time after he enters final mode, which starts the 5 min timer. If those 2 end up close together that would explain 2 in a row.

I haven't fought him in a while but iirc he pops one the first time he changes, so if you zerged him really fast you could get that one followed right away by the 25% one, and then the one that starts the 5 minute timer for the final mode for 3 in a short stretch of time. Nearer the end of the fight though it's pretty consistent timing.

I know in his last phase we timed it and it is every 5 minutes once he's in his last mode, but I'm pretty sure each time he gets stunned slows down the timer by however long he was stunned. Back when we used to kite him he popped one every 5 mins on the dot since we didn't stun much, but when we started straight tanking it, he started taking longer between pops. I assumed it was because of the stuns but I don't really have proof of that so take it with a big grain of salt. It may also be that the time he spends doing tp moves doesn't count towards the 5 mins, since he would use more tp moves straight tanked too, but I'm not sure.
