? Article you linked basically said what Celeras has been saying, i7 is not needed for real-world performance in gaming, you have to go out of your way to actually see it gain performance.
I still wouldn't get a C2D though, they still run $70-130, and if you don't want i5 or i7 you can get much better AMD cpus in that price-range.
What I think you *might* have meant to link...was the "Real-World CPU" tests from hardocp.
