you forgot clean record. they will background check and if you have a record, it doesnt completely take you out of the running but will make it even harder.

Try things like hotels (especially small localized chains) and maybe charities.

If you need some income to tide you over until she find something permanent she can always do book keeping for local small businesses. Also small accounting offices can hook her up with ppl who need book keeping services. It can be a good way to get a foot in the door with the account practice if she does good work on the book keeping.
