I read it won't be including all the new features of 2.1 like the N1 has, such as the 3D homegrid and live wallpapers even though it's built into 2.1's API. Probably because of hardware limitations? Even so, looking forward to the multitouch, especially on the browser. That's what was posted on engadget though, so it's not confirmed.

Glad Motorola posted at least something official.

    I want those new wallpapers...cmon..

And I doubt it's limitations, since people have already hacked the nexus's 2.1 onto droid, with the live wallpapers.

I can't wait to get the update. I'll be sad too if we don't get those wallpapers.

Yeah, I know you can root it and install the custom rom to include those features, but I don't think it's as speedy as it is on the N1 without OC'ing. Therefore, if it were to be removed from the Droid's release, it would probably be due to the hardware as it's not up to par with the N1 at Motorola/Verizon's discretion.

I'm not saying this is the case as nothing official has been announced about the details, but just of what I would assume.

WTF are live wallpapers? I can't wait for multitouch standard.

Its limitations at least with live wallpapers. If you find a video of a non overclocked droid running a live wallpaper things slow to a crawl on the home screen.
