Windower Not Hooking (Windows 7 x64)

Strangest gd thing.

I've had Windower/FFXI working fine under x32 Windows 7 since 3.42 was released. I log in this morning and it's no longer "hooking" as they say. I can't open the console, plugins don't load, I can't alt-tab without a crash and what-have-you. All the proper settings are in place, obviously, since I had it working. Run as Administrator and all that nonsense.

Nothing has changed on my system other than Windows Update recently installing a new version of "Games for Windows".

Interesting. I'd watch the windower forums to see if this is widespread. I was in salvage last night with 3.42 with no problem, but I'm on x64

Uninstalling the two most recent Windows updates (May 26) didn't solve the problem. I didn't think it would to begin with, but there was nothing else to do. I'm down to either reinstalling Windows XP or attempting to get it running in VirtualBox now. I can't play FFXI without scripts and SpellCast.

Installing Windower 4 with my fingers crossed. I'll be happy if I can just 'exec' these .txt files :S

k, Windower 4 and old keyboard_bind-age doesn't work. -_-
..but the weirdest software problem I've ever experienced that wasn't directly Microsoft- or Apple-related (welcome to the group, Square) was resolved by reinstalling ATI/Catalyst drivers. Weird.

Well, this is off topic, but since I didn't see a Windower tech help topic, I figured I'd ask in here. Ok, so every time I open my region map, I get lagged to hell so that I can't move my cursor to different parts of the map. I assumed this was because I have ConsolBG turned off, so I went ahead and turned it on. I go back into the game, and nothings different. Anyone out there have any clue as to what I should do to fix this issue? I really didn't want to change the image/color of the console, the standard darkish blue is fine. I just really want the map lag to be gone.
