Need help picking out new car! (Down to few choices)

Ok so there isnt much to do here in Afghanistan, so I've been looking at my next ride and have it narrowed down to really 2 cars:

A slightly used Porsche Cayman S:

Or a brand new 370z, and cant decide between which model to get if I pick the latter.

The Cayman is my dream car, but I cant really afford to pay $70,000 for a new one that has the features I want, and I can get one with ~10-20,000 miles on it for a bit cheaper than the 370z. The other thing is the Nismo 370z and 370z touring with sports package actually outperforms the Cayman.. But it's no porsche.

Additionally, if I'm going to drop 40k, I want a god damned new car that I know is fresh and ready to be broken in.. but again it's not a porsche..

My second problem is which model of the 370z!? I've narrowed it down to 3 models, in order of which I'm leaning towards most:

1. Nismo 370z:

Pros: More horsepower, better looking, better race handeling, and it's a fucking racecar!
Cons: Not as smooth of a ride as the other models. No bose 8 speaker 6 CD speak system with IPOD connection, no satellite service, no nav system, no heated seats, less MPG. Basically trade the luxury and comfort for power and speed.

2. 370z Touring w/ Sports Package:

Pros: Still fun to drive, only 18 less horsepower than Nismo, though doesnt have the extra suspension improvements and rollbar strengths or body enhancements. Has all the luxuries I could want: 8 speaker bose system, Ipod hookup, nav system, heated/power seats, etc.
Cons: Missing awesome body design of Nismo and gets outperformed by Nismo (and I dont want to feel lacking if I buy a sportscar..).

3. 370z convertable:

Pros: Fucking convertable, which rocks. Same benefits of the Touring over the Nismo.
Cons: Less of a racecar than the Touring and Nismo, doesnt look as good as either, and future problems with convertables (sound, degredation, etc).

I have some time to decide, as I dont get back till sometime before Thanksgiving (no idea really), but want to start planning now. If people have different car suggestions that they think beat these for price/capability/satisfaction, I'm more than open. This is just what I've narrowed it down too.

Don't get the convertible, that convertible is way too small to not scream "HAY BOYS WANNA GO FOR A RIDE?" Gay.

And just test drive fucking everything, you'll know what you want.

And don't crash it doing 130 on the freeway because you're so happy you're not in BFA anymore.

Problem with test driving is not many dealerships have Nismo's just lying around.. Can test drive the Touring Sport, and have test drove the Cayman S (they drive very similar honestly.., the Touring Sport has a nicer feel due to more amenities, but the Cayman S looks much hotter). So I guess it's really down to the Touring Sport, the Nismo, and the Cayman S (used..)..

And ya lol, getting full insurance on it when I get it.. Especially after driving here.. (Wont have a 50 cal. on my roof in US..)

get the 370z touring. I just bought a new car with all the snazzy ipod/usb hook ups and I love it. Also pretty much can't live without a nav system now, but I am on the road a lot.

I don't know shit about cars. I just know I like ipod, nav, and good mpg on mine.

Goddamn, that Nismo model looks hot. As for the iPod connector issue, if that's really a big deal for you I'm sure it wouldn't be too much of an ordeal to install a new console with an auxiliary jack to plug an MP3 player into.

There is a bit more difference between the two than just an iPod connector that goes beyond just installing a new radio system and nav system.. I wish the Nismo came with all the amenities of the Touring

The 370 is a beast of a car. I really suggest against the convertible for reasons you listed, but it's more of a personal decision than the others. Plus 95% of people in convertibles are/look like douches. The trade offs from the touring and nismo you listed so again it's what you want. The Nismo is a much stiffer ride so if you're going to daily drive it just be ready for that. And if this is not a daily driver then get the nismo no doubt if you can eat the cost. There are some other cars out there in the same price range as the the 370 that are also solid cars if you have a specific price you're looking for unless you must have the 370/cayman. Also remember the parts for a cayman are expensive as shit compared to the 370. And you will have to replace something if you drive it hard, and unless your a girl you will because it's a porsche why wouldn't you!

Good call, I just had those installed in my Lexus a few months ago and fucking love it. Thinking about doing the same thing in my car in a few weeks depending if I can get anything back from taxes.

Glad im not the only one that found that fascinating. Also, nice choices you got there Neo, what is the price difference over than than compared to here? If you mentioned it and I missed it then my apologies sir.

Get the Nismo, you'll enjoy it more. Hit up any fucking electronics store, get an aftermarket system installed for 500 instead of the 5000 Nissan will charge you. Best of both fucking worlds.

I'd get the Nismo and have all that stuff installed, it'd be cheaper than buying a Touring and adding a new suspension and some stuff to gain the HP difference. (Mainly the suspension). This is assuming that there isn't a huge aftermarket for the 370z and suspension packages aren't cheap.

I just had everything upgraded in my RX-8 as well, its really nice to have, I just put a whole new system in it as well.

Just a quick question, do you have a friend that works at best buy or anything? If so, get the Nismo, and give your friend cash to buy your ass a complete sound system w/ Ipod dock connector and GPS. You'd be amazed how much money you save from an employee discount for their sound systems (around 60-70% off, i got my $1500 sound system for ~$450 when i worked there). Of course you'd have to get it installed someplace else unless you know how to install it, but it'll definitely be worth the money saved.
