I use the keyboard for a PC. I have put my laptop on my lap, but i generally dislike that. I guess I like the camping chair because its kind of like a hammock? Or that it is convenient, hard to say The papasan chair looks interesting, always wanted one of those (but I'm not as tiny as SB so no naps for me ) but I worry that it might be bad on the back. So far the best idea has been "run in and sit on chairs", hard to beat that x)

I love these too. My parents bought one of those for the "office" at our house. I spent many hours in that chair playing FF. It was one of the higher end models though. I cant remember the name. It had a mesh back and seat. You could adjust the tension of the mesh to make it slightly firmer or softer. It also reclined to almost parallel with the floor.

I really wish I remembered the brand...

I'm sure ya'll are talking about this chair, Herman Miller's "Aeron" chair.

It's the chair of bosses. Virtually every professional editor's suite is equipped with them.

I have to agree 100%, simply because I have a bad lower back and I bought one for my home office. I have to sit in this chair anywhere between 8 and 16 hours a day while I work. It's odd at first, but once you get used to sitting in it and you adjust it to fit your body, it's the most comfortable thing you can find and it really does help you feel less fatigued after sitting all day.

I was at first a bit leery of spending the cash on it, but it has something like a 12 year warranty on it, which I figured if I bought a new shitty chair every year or year and a half, it would cost about the same. I had bad meshing on the back and then on the seat and each time I e-mailed the place from which I bought it, I had replacement pieces within 2 days, no questions asked.

tl;dr: You get what you pay for.

Thats exactly what it is. The lower back thing got old and rigid and broke a bit though.

I have a bunch of Aerons and have to say they do rock. They also don't have a headrest so it forces a good posture. ( was kinda annoying for a few weeks until I got used to it ).

Geez, some of these are freakin' pricey. Anything decent for under say, $250? I'm rockin' the shitty cheap wal-mart chair atm, gives me terrible posture and I end up with a back ache sometimes. But I guess I get what I deserve for spending $30. lol

    Haven't played for a long while. :X

On Topic: Yeah, they're expensive, but you won't have to buy another chair for a long time. Look at the long term.

Yall are just making the exercise ball look even better.

Inexpensive. Constant low-intensity workout. Improved balance. I can sit indian-style on it. And the bonus of being able to enjoy other chairs after I get off the ball. I'm wary of high pricetags, paying a lot doesnt mean it's worth the money (and that money could go towards a better computer, where you would see the benefits.) If it was THAT amazing, it would change how I would think about furniture, and make me hate every other chair I sat on. Definitely not worth THAT

Real bosses wouldn't lower themselves to sitting in one of those, they don't sit in anything you can buy from a store.

It did make some people think differently about furniture. Even has a spot in the Museum of Modern Art.

I've wanted an Aeron for years but can't rationalize the cost. I'm sure my back would thank me though. My only fear is that since I have cats that they would tear it to shreds.
