I'd like to get into yoga to increase my flexibility. I can't even touch my toes. I don't wanna go to a yoga class so I was thinking of the Wii Fit.
What's your opinion on it?

Buy a yoga video.
Get a fatty to go to a doctors office and theyll get a free one.
dawg when i turn the TV on in the morn while i enjoy my moring tea on my way to CNN i see 1.5 hours worth of yoga shows back to back to back.
u gotta find something on the TV u can use
it actually is pretty good for learning yoga. my girlfriend was into yoga before she got it for the wii, and she said it helped in learning the positions better, and the board is pretty legit. plus theres a fun marble hole maze game which requires hella balance.
its worth it i'd say
IF YOU CAN FIND ONE LOLZ
I've never understood how guys couldn't touch their toes. I don't think I'm superhumanly flexible, but I've always been able to easily touch the ground with closed fists bending over - I can nearly get my wrists to the ground.
As a fellow man to the rest-
So am I considered flexible since i can almost touch my elbows to the floor?
That's the kind of feedback I was seeking. I know I can watch any one of the 100's of yoga TV shows but they won't be able to tell me if I'm doing it wrong. I was thinking the Wii would be able to give me feedback and track my progress as I go along.
And as for going to a class, I am antisocial for these kind of things, especially when I will be the only guy in the class who can't touch his toes and do half the positions.
I could touch my toes when I was younger but that was only after regular stretching for weeks. I have naturally tight hamstrings which also cause me back problems cuz they pull down on my spine.
And it's not my gut in the way either. I'm only a little overweight. I've seen a ton of obese people who can touch their toes and do the splits. Consider yourself lucky.
well I never thought about it- just came up as i was reading this thread.
if you want to learn yoga from home, I'd go with a Gaiam DVD over wii fit. Their beginner Ashtanga DVD will obliterate you if you have no experience, but you get used to it pretty quickly.
Actual conversation I had with a friend on facebook chat.
You can also check out videos on Youtube if you don't want to spend any money. Also, libraries!"William: So I took a yoga class on Sunday
it was just me and one other dude
Brian: that's gay
William: and about 20 hella flexible females
Brian: oh, that's not gay
William: Way to let me finish douchebag."
