    New video card for laptop

http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...903&CatId=4938 that's my laptop right now, I was planning on buying a new video card for it because I know that the current graphics card on it is horrible, but everything else is pretty good.

My main goal is to be able to play ffxiv on it, I don't know much about comps but if you guys know any video cards for laptops that are good enough to run ffxiv (I know reqs arnt out yet) my price range is 150-300 and I was planning to give it to best buy to put it in once I get the card.

It's impossible to plug a video card into that laptop.

EDIT: Just to expand on this, they're usually soldered on. If you've got the model without the card, then it's usually impossible to get a card on there, unless it specifically states as such.

You can do it, but you'll need one of these: http://sewelldirect.com/ExpressCard-...ull-Length.asp

    Otherwise, fat chance.

Actually most discrete graphics cards in laptops aren't soldered on for the express purpose of replacements/upgrades. The mobile versions of cards however are prohibitively expensive to the point where you could build a desktop with better performance for the same price in many instances.

But the OPs doesn't even have a discrete laptop GPU and thus probably doesn't even have the internal PCIE slot to put one in.

Basically, you're out of luck, build a new $500~ range desktop, it's your best and cheapest option.
