Great collection of images, but horrible polices/prices as now basically all photo galleries of this type are owned by Getty Images making them a monopoly.

I want to buy an image worth 15 credits, but of course you cant buy single credits, and the two lowest tiers are 12 and 26 for 18$ and 39$ lol.

Sites used to offer 1$ for 1 credit, but when Gety buys them out, they get rid of them or change prices. Their newest victim was stockxpert who had the same image for 10$, but their services stopped today ~_~;

So, in any case. I was wondering if someone had an account there, had some credits, and could buy the image for me. Id say id like to buy it for 15$ from you, but that would probably be unfair, so how about 20$ or so?

Make sure you voice your opinion on this one as much as possible. I'm completely against the idea of credit based systems, they lead to exactly the same position as you mention - it's just designed to get you to spend more money.

It's the same on Xbox live, you get a little bit of extra credit left over, which is never enough to buy anything, but is enough to make you think "Oh I have a bit left over, I could get some more points and buy this too..."

It should be outlawed.

That's positively scandalous. Why haven't I heard of the untold shitfuckery by these guys, or do people just seem to not care because "Oh well they're a big company they can get away with stuff like that..."?

Id assume it's the same case with most things. In the case of istock, it's been open for many years, and getty slowly raised the prices from 50 cents for one photo up to 5~40$ for one. Ignorance/loyalty. Sort of the same with XI players and SE, we know theyre dicking us, but we keep playing.

to be fair live points dont really expire do they? I mean I've bought stuff in the past using leftover points I had from a few purchases..

on the topic of live points, as this may be the case with PSN and Wiiware as well, but it's just a dick move. I get they don't want to label a game as "$15" when 1000 points looks much more innocent, but the least they could do is make it $1 = 100 points and allow customizable purchases.

It's one of those things "customer concerns" will likely never affect because they know exactly why they designed it that way in the first place.
