I'm curious based on what NBC is showing of Vancouver how many of you non-Canadian's would consider checking out Vancouver? I've encountered a lot of first time American's to leave there country and they seem to love Vancouver.

Vancouver is totally known as a really livable city. Also, for what I want to do West Coast, DC, NY or overseas is where I could reasonably be.

So if the option came I wouldn't say no.

Its not even in the top 15 according to Forbes 2009. I don't really see it on any lists after a quick google search.

People often get expensive housing and expensive living confused. We are definitely not a cheap place to live but I don't think we're the most expensive.

Yeah I was looking at overall living cost. Still seems strange when compared to a place like Tokyo, but then again a lot of people who are in Tokyo live in Dasaitama (Saitama) and Chiba etc.

Is it geography? I used to live in Boulder and property cost will basically go up guaranteed because of a no building (literally no new building and limits on building up). Just seems for Canada's population the last thing they are lacking is space.

Wow, so I just found out a girl from my old high school is on the olympic team, competing tomorrow. Ashley Caldwell in freestyle skiing aerials.

Apparently lives literally 10-15 miles away from me lol. Shows how much I keep up with the local news.
