The cast seems pretty solid for me. Only thing that I'm skeptical about is the Catwoman, I cant imagine what Nolan will do to make that character fit the movie.
Have you seen inception? Tom Hardy was the shit. My favorite casting choice for this movie so far.
im so sick of johnny depp and his im-quirky-captain-jack bullshit. thank science he's not in TDKR.
... So you're tired of the pirates of the caribbean movies?
Tim Burton made the point that Sweeney Todd was the first movie where a studio didn't question his decision to cast Johnny Depp in the lead. I still like him as an actor, but a certain sheen disappears when the $$ seeing hacks running studios don't question a casting decision because they know no matter how awful the actor is for the role it will bring in money. That's how we get shit like The Tourist.
Jack Sparrow is funny and everything but it's not Han Solo, John McClane or any iconic role that Sam Jackson/Morgan Freeman have played where the actor can just phone in that performance the rest of his life.
edit: And The Pirates movies were largely a waste of time after 1. They had their moments ofc but overall meh. This one might be okay b/c Ian McShane + Geoffrey Rush should redeem any other awfulness unless the plot gets retarded again.

A rumor that has hit the web stating that Marion Cotillard has joined the cast of Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knigt Rises.
The rumor originated with Le Fiagro, a French site reported the following news:
"Marion Cotillard in Batman 3. The actress, who is expecting a child in the spring with Guillaume Canet, will be scarce this year. She’ll do a single film and her choice fell on Batman 3. This blockbuster produced byWarner Bros. enables her to work with the director Christopher Nolan, with whom she had turned very successful sci-fi Inception. Marion Cotillard will join the filming this summer in Los Angeles. She will share the bill with Anne Hathaway."

Talia Al'Ghul
Bane
Catwoman
Robin?
Possibly Hugo Strange.
Nolan certainly seems intent on disproving the 3rd movie comic book shitshow.
I would love to see Hugo Strange, I really would![]()
Well thats what I mean, if he succeeds he will prove that it can be done even with cramming a movie full of characters.. In all honesty I'm reserving judgement until I see a trailer.
hate hate hate that they're doing this if its true.
I get that some villains can't carry movies but I think characters like Two face and Scarecrow deserved better then what they got and that list is just proving that he is not done taking Characters to the woodshed.
Ugh, idk if I wanna see a trailer. Movie trailers these days reveal a lot of shit. Now I didn't see the DK trailer and that probably made me enjoy the movie much more. Also you guys should quit worrying about the film ending up being crappy/sucky/garbage. Everything's gonna be alright.
More than two villains is a recipe for disaster. There simply isn't enough time for 3-4 villains to have meaningful character development in a two hour movie. Spider-Man 3 is a good example of trying to do too much in a single film (Harry, Sandman and Venom), causing everything to feel rushed and less meaningful.
However, The Dark Knight was probably the best comic/superhero film I've ever seen, so I'll give Nolan the benefit of the doubt until the final product is released.
Looking back at the TDK trailer, I really don't think it was that spoilerific. It gives away the basic premise of the movie, yeah, but I like knowing that before I go into one anyways. Plus it was one of the first looks at Ledger's Joker and everyone was apprehensive of what they would get so it was nice to get a preview.
