Still can't get used to the costume not having the red speedo part over the blue tights, but it doesn't look bad without it. Really hoping that this movie kicks ass, and makes everyone forget how bad Superman Returns was.

Oh he directed it? WOW. No shit. People are saying he did a good job on Watchmen, which he didn't. He took one of the pinnacles of story-telling and made it into a slow-motion heavy action movie, losing all focus of the real story and the rich characters that populated it. He's a one trick director that people with no taste love.

I actually just saw Sucker Punch this weekend and kinda liked it ^^; I guess it was just too abstract? Watchmen was pretty good too, pretty hard to fit the whole story into a single movie. Seemed like they kept most of the important stuff, but missed alot of the nuances from the book.

Watchmen might have been better off as a two-parter... except in return for richer characterization, we'd lose momentum.

I liked Sucker Punch, It wasn't what i was expecting, though to be honest, I have no idea what I was expecting.

Typically, when they try to "do-over" a franchise, they do so with a whole new cast. It's a shame too, as I thought Brandon Routh was as good a Superman as one could expect, just in a weak movie overall.

And Spacey's Luthor? Brought a tear to my eye.

I had my doubts about Brandon Routh as Superman but when I saw the movie, he fit the role pretty damn well. Henry Cavil is going to be a hard sell for me, but Chris Nolan is writing this movie which is enough to get me to see it.

There was exactly 1 unnecessary action-oriented fight scene that involved lots of slow motion throughout the entirety of that film. One. So what you're complaining about isn't even true.

People complain about that movie because they had to take stuff out. Which is dumb since you can only fit so much into 120 minutes. These are probably the same people that complained that not everything was put into the LotRs movies, despite there being 3 movies and they were all long as all hell. You simply can't present the same amount of information on screen as you can from written media. It's a fact of life. Get over it.

Dawn of the Dead, 300, and Watchmen were all enjoyable for a variety of different reasons. Super Punch sucked, but such is life.

Oh I totally understand that it's impossible to fit everything from a book or comic into 2 hours worth of time. Except Snyder sucks ass and didn't capture the spirit of Watchmen. I never saw Dawn of the Dead but 300 was awful. Get over it.

People would have found even the slightest shit to bitch and cry about even if Watchmen was 100% faithful to the original source and jerked you off while you watched it. Pay no mind to the delusional fanboy trolls.

I thought Chris Nolan was just watching over the production? Last I heard Goyer(the other writer for BB/TDK/TDKR) and Nolan's brother are the ones writing Superman.

Then you must have hated the comic, since it was a near-perfect adaptation.

What's it like to be the angriest troll on earth?

on topic, liked 300...liked Watchmen for what it was (to be honest I thought the comic was a little boring). I don't have high hopes for this though because Supes is such a hard character to write. Death of/Return of would be amazing but I doubt we'll ever get those movies.
