Mytzlplk niggers!
Mytzlplk niggers!
Metallo sure, but not Brainiac. Superhero movies fall short when they try and weave two headliners into the same flick, which both Braniac and Doomsday definitely are.
I'd honestly love if the trilogy (assuming it goes to trilogy status) went something like this:
1. MoS = Zod main villain, Brainiac cameo or reference.
2. MoS 2 = Brainiac main villain, Doomsday reference.
3. MoS 3 = Doomsday main villain, shit officially hits the fan.
Will it play out that way? Most likely not. Lex will be inserted somewhere in 2 if not have him as the main villain is my guess.
That's how Superman Returns failed hardcore, being a pretentious as shit two hour trailer for the next movie. Work on making this film a great stand alone title instead of already saving ideas for sequels.
i'm really not a superman fan at all but damn this looks damn cool.
and from the trailers it looks like they're gonna tie in a plausible childhood reason for why he wears that fruity outfit as an adult. leave it to nolan.
http://geektyrant.com/news/2012/9/21...escriptio.htmlWe really don't know much about Zack Snyder's upcoming Superman film Man of Steel, other than the fact that Clark Kent goes from an Alaskan crab fisherman to Superman. Somewhere in between he meets Lois Lane and fights Michael Shannon as Zod. It's actually pretty impressive how well the studio has been able to keep a lid on the actual story of the film.
It looks like we might have a little more information on the film, and maybe one of the film's villains has been revealed thanks to a list of LEGO playsets that can be found on Screen Crush. That villain is....

I'd like to see a Superman movie with Darkseid, before another Luthor/Zod version.
http://geektyrant.com/news/2012/11/2...ostume-ch.htmlIn a recent article with The New York Post, director Zack Snyder discussed some information regarding the highly anticipated Man of Steel. Snyder covers why he and the producers decided to redesign the Superman suit. In addition, he revealed how Henry Cavill might fit into a larger Justice League universe and shared info on what role Christopher Nolan played to shape the film.
Here is what he had to say about the iconic costume:
Snyder then mentions how Man of Steel could lead to more films, and perhaps even serve as the foundation for the linked universe with the impending Justice League:The costume was a big deal for me, and we played around for a long time. I tried like crazy to keep the red briefs on him. Everyone else said, ‘You can't have the briefs on him.' I looked at probably 1,500 versions of the costumes with the briefs on. If you look at the costume, it's very modern, but the relationship to the original costume is strong. You come onto a project like this, and you hear about modernization and you hear about bringing things forward to today, and all you can do is hope that it's going to look cool and different from anything you've seen before.
Finally, Snyder talks a bit about Superman's legacy and reveals how the film was shaped by the influence of producer Christopher Nolan:We approach the film as a single endeavor. There are a lot of gears that have to turn in the world of commerce and the world of the mythology we create to facilitate more adventures for this character. We'll see what happens... I don't know how ‘Justice League' is going to be handled. Honestly, I don't. But ‘The Man of Steel' exists, and Superman is in it. I don't know how you'd move forward without acknowledging that.
We tried to approach this as though there's never been a Superman movie before, but at the same time respecting the canon and mythology. There are the pillars that you have to respect, and I'm not about to break them. But it is fun for me to bend them and mess with them. There's a logic and concreteness that has to exist with Chris. You can't just do stuff because it's cool. He demands that there be story and character behind all of it, which I'm a big fan of.

http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/169...r-hobbit.jhtmlIt's fun. I can't wait for The Hobbit, so it will be fun to see our crazy Man of Steel trailer and then enjoy the Hobbit because that's going to be great. It just feels like a fun Christmas thing to do, drag the whole family out for that action.
I wish someone would instill this philosophy in Michael Bay.You can't just do stuff because it's cool. He demands that there be story and character behind all of it, which I'm a big fan of.
