Popcorn flick lot of things did not make sense in the movie (another person pointed out a few above) like prometheus but again it was worth the money. Will say a certain fight scene was brutal and can't wait to watch it on blu to slow mo a little of it. 7/10 not great but good.

First movie I've ever walked out of in my life. Didn't feel like a Nolan film at all. The pacing and writing were atrocious

You realize that Snyder was the director and writer on this one? Nolan only shared producing credit.

Do you realize you're completely wrong? Director = Snyder, Writer = Goyer, Producer = Nolan.

You're right, my bad. I'm running on very little sleep right now and I just slightly overreacted. Cheers!

Well, if the movie was so so, how was the music? Those snippets that have been out a while I thought were really good.

music for what it was was good, hans zimmer is always great. however this time around i found it kinda overbearing, but that could largely be blamed on the pacing of the movie.

    Similar thoughts from another board:
The film felt rushed. Nothing was given room to breath. Shannon's Zod was a big disappointment. The relationship between Clark and Lois was incredibly forced and most of the action wasn't very good. Mid-tier superhero movie.

Take it for what it is, the movie was beautiful and enjoyable. The way they did Clarks back story was amazing. Only one gripe I had was
    Spoiler: show
    Him killing Zod

In some scenes he looked so much like Tom Welling jfkdla;jfdlska;fjasdl; MY FEELINGS.

I enjoyed the movie. I didn't think it was great or spectacular but I enjoyed it. Superman is a hard character to put into film. He's an alien raised as a kid in a small town. He's humble and an overall nice guy who can crush you but instead restrains himself.

Something that has to be taken into account is that DC is very very hands on when it comes to their product, especially Superman. Nothing is allowed without their approval.

    Spoiler: show
I think a lot of people are missing a key point with Zod and Superman. Zod is a genetic masterpiece of what he's supposed to be. Like he said, he's born to be in sync with his senses at all times. That's why he's able to adapt more quickly to the Sun and why he is overall stronger than Superman. Superman took years to adapt because he was not a genetic specimen.

When he kills Zod, he had a choice. Let humans die and never fully being able to stop what Zod is, or killing Zod and allowing Earth to live. Zod would have never given up and eventually realized that Superman wouldn't be able to fully stop him. He made a choice a lot of humans would have made in that situation, you protect those that you love at any costs.

I don't buy into the whole Clark Kent as a reporter thing here at the end though. If Lois Lane can track down who he was, what's stopping anyone else? Not to mention, he never had a disguise before. Pete I think his name was. He's gotta know that Clark Kent was the person fighting the other aliens. That part seemed sloppy to me. I understand they wanted to have his secret Identity but in the world we live in today, I can't buy into the fact that people won't figure it out quickly.

One thing I loved was Heat Vision. Very powerful but blinds the user for a second after use, leaving them open.

I like it... having said that:
    Spoiler: show
Heat vision they really nailed. The effect looked fucking awesome.

Henry Cavill LOOKED the part, actually has blue eyes, so hey that's a plus over Brandon Routh. There was way too much shit blowing up/collateral damage for my liking. Did not seem very Superman-esque to have that happen.

Michael Shannon seemed very one-note and over the top as Zod. Not a very nuanced performance and with the caliber of actor he is, I am only to believe it was the direction of Zack Snyder. They could argue, "That's Zod. He's genetically bred to be a warrior and leader." But it could have been so much better with a more nuanced performance.

Lois & Clark did seem a bit forced to me. If you have no prior knowledge or experience with any of the Superman mythos (which is rare, but I think they kind of used that general knowledge of their history together as a crutch/bridge to easily build their relationship without showing us much), you'd probably be wondering, what does Lois see in Superman/Clark/Kal? She hardly knows him so it smells badly of misplaced hero worship.

Movie was alright. I found it took itself too seriously when something like Superman's origin story is hard to take seriously.

And since when is 67% in RT bad? Do people think RT works like video game review scores?
