Which is why it bothers me. Superman's powers as far as I know have NEVER had anything EVER to do with Oxygen or w/e Krypton's atmosphere was supposed to be.

His powers didn't fade, he just got sick cause the air mix wasn't the same as he was used to. It's why Lois needed a mask on the ship. It's like there was suddenly more of a certain gas in the air and the ratio was deadly to humans and took adjusting for hryptonians who weren't used to it.

He doesn't need oxygen and I mean unless there was krypton particles floating around(which they could have said) he shouldn't have lost his powers at all. Supermans powers are 100% based off the color of the sun. Dude doesn't even need any kind of oxygen or any other kind of atmosphere to survive. So it doesn't matter unless there were super charged particles of krypton floating around in the ship.

Edit: they did, you know needle going in his skin.

Well I'm not saying its a great explanation, but its enough to just go "eh, could have been better". Basically, enough to just suspend your disbelief.

I thoroughly enjoyed it. Especially Faora's fight scenes. Some bits and pieces I would like to see changed, but overall, good enough to get the bluray.

I thought this was basically their take on Kryptonite. The environment (atmosphere and sun) of the original planet were harsher. But on Earth the sun allows Superman to be like a god, until re-exposed to the original Krypton conditions.

Saw tonight, and really enjoyed it. Character flaws aside, I wanted to see a movie with mother fuckers getting punched/thrown/kicked through buildings, dragged through the ground.

    Spoiler: show
boy did they deliver, rofl. The Lois stuff felt a bit rushed, but I can see how it could happen. Him finally finding someone he could trust, and she being in the soon to be familiar position of having someone like clark swooping in to save the day. bitches love niggas that save the day. still don't buy the daily planet job, though.

zod punched Clark into orbit, right? i was the only one to burst out laughing at how hard in the paint that scene was, but i loved every bit of it

Michael Shannon's performance as Zod was spectacular in my humble opinion. Some people were knocking it, but I'm not sure they were seeing the same film that I was.

I finally got a chance to see it today and I honestly thought Zod was the worst part of the movie :/

Pretty much agree with what Landis said. I enjoyed the movie but there's so many little flaws that could been avoided. The whole thing about Krypton citizens being bio engineered was stupid too.

I've never seen Landis talk before, but I loved Chronicle and agree with everything he said.

That's probably the first HITB I haven't liked. It almost feels like they've grown increasingly full of themselves.

It isn't to say their opinions aren't valid or that the review was bad... it just seems like they're nitpicking instead of focusing on what made the movie bad. All I've heard that was negative about this movie was "AMAGAD NOT LEIK TEH SUPAHMAN OF MAH COMICS". Okay, why is it important? Why is it bad? Why doesn't it work?

I agree with most everything they said about the side characters (and surprisingly about Lois) but their discussion just doesn't seem too focused.

edit: Now that I've finished watching the whole review I have to say it wrapped up nicely at the end. They should have just said that at the beginning, because the rest of it was just nitpicking while the ending made their point rather clear.
