Except, if it wasn't shit and I didn't already know it was going to be a butchered abomination, I would actually like to see it. Just because I can choose not to see it doesn't mean it should be allowed to happen. Some people really like stuff, and most of those anime I do like and would love to see a good, fair adaptation done.
So no, I won't get over it.
Ok.. from now on whenever anyone has this 'why god, no!!!' reaction they are NEVER ALLOWED TO WATCH THE MOVIE IF IT HAPPENS TO ACTUALLY BE GOOD. How many people shit their pants when Heath Ledger was cast as the joker shortly after being in Brokeback Mountain and were oh-so-positive it was a terrible casting choice.
I pray that Hollywood proves me wrong every single film. But how often does "The Dark Knight" actually happen for anime/manga > movie?
I want to enjoy it, and I would if it were good. But seriously now, I'm not naive. I don't expect miracles to happen for every adaptation.
Plenty of beloved comic books were shit on by Hollywood, some I saw, some I didn't. Was I a little ticked off? Sure. But don't let it ruin your day, the original source material is still there to be loved and in the end, Hollywood shit won't affect it.
It's not only the 'miracle' movies, there are still movies like Iron Man or the other marvel movies that actually were pretty decent. People reacted like it they were shit from the start but that wasn't the case.
I just hope people promise to never see a movie they say will be shit before it comes out.
If it's a shit movie why even spend the 1-2 hours watching it for free. Just replay the original movie instead because it's the bestest ever
Ok, I'll allow you to watch it for those reason but if at any point in time you end up liking it if it starts to get actually good in terms of quality you must turn it off immediately or else bad things
THIS IS SO RETARDED I COULD SHIT MILES OF RAGE SNAKE TO CHOKE THESE WRITERS TO DEATH
...yeah. that's an image i won't get out of my head anytime soon.
oh god, seeing this I thought 'well, how bad could it be?'
DBZ live action movie![]()
New stuff seems like an upgrade actually.
2001 dub was decent for a dub. What makes the first dub legendary was the whole
shouting match. That scene in the very first dub is -hilarious-TEEEEETTTSUOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

http://geektyrant.com/news/2011/10/2...for-akira.htmlNow that the live-action version of Akira has the official greenlight a few more names have been added to the list of actors that couple be cast in the film. The initial report said Tron Legacy star Garret Hudlund could end up in the lead role of Kaneda the movie. Now it's being reported that Gary Oldman (The Dark Knight) has been offered the role of Colonel, and that Helena Bonham-Carter (Harry Potter) has been offered Lady Miyako.
The film is set to be directed by Jaume Collet-Sera (House of Wax, Orphan and Unknown), and so far the cast that has been mentioned so far is surprising. I'm not sure about how I feel about Hedlund taking on this character, the more I think about it the more I see that he doesn't fit the role at all. I can't complain about Oldman though.
The story basically follows the leader of a biker gang in New Manhattan, who’s friend gets jacked up from a medical experiment.
