Or maybe they have it because an ally of the US has been lobbyiing to have Iran attacked already for over a decade(read any Un resolution regarding Israel recently and you'll notice them ignoring the charges and screaming BOMB IRAN repeatedly).
Some already believe Israel managed to get the US to attack Iraq as it is under while selling false pretenses to the American people (and while i cant say if it's true it's going to be something people will keep in mind)and the last war Iran had was because the us GAVE weapons of mass destruction to Saddam, the use of which is classified by many as a crime against humanity.
Do you think they really TRUST the US to not attack them?
If anything the Iran view would be that the US wont attack them if they did have one to prevent massive casualties and a colonial power. In addition the CIA has been declaring that Iran was within 5 years of making nukes for over two decades each and every single year.(might be off by a few years but the predicted year for Iran to have nukes passed around a decade ago.) The US has been gunning to attack them for a very long time and at this point developing a nuke would be self defense. If the economy hadn't blown up in the US we would have already attacked them by now.


Oh and more fallacies there. By making a country more desperate to survive being attacked by a nuclear power they need to prevented from trying to defend themselves? Maybe they wouldnt be as desperate as you think they are if there wasnt 2 nuclear powers trying amass world support for attacking them?

This is all I knew that was offered, not sure if they actually gave it.

NK had 3 reactors + 1 being built that were all much more productive in developing weapons tech.

We gave them oil and 2 dramatically less dangerous reactors for them to possess to get them to shut down the others.
