Due for new ones this summer though
plain black chucks or bust
i wear ripoff chucks that look exactly the same, last even longer and cost 1/4 as much.
Might just be me, but Chucks are fucking ugly and uncomfortable.
I agree on the Chucks. I tried them and just wasn't feeling it.
Don't see how people wear stuff without color. Maybe its just me but I enjoy matching. Black is good and all, but just gets old after a while.
@Chucks - I used to wear them and will agree with the few that stated that they are not comfortable. I find toms to be
very comfortable. Also the vans slip ons are pretty comfortable.
2009 shoes that I bought.
Take your pick OP, should cater for most occasions, see pic.

Starting from top left anticlockwise,
Dark brown YSL boots (buy from http://www.ysl.com/us/en/onlineBouti...20Leather.aspx)
Prada Sports Autumn/winter 09 suede
Prada Classic range
Blue/Purple (EBODY lol) Acne Jeans casual wear shoes
Prada classic flip flops
Local designer leather shoes
Prada Sports slide in leather shoes
Prada Sports PATENT plastic coated leather shoe (shinny surface, but it's leather, quite dear for Sports range whopping $580)
Prada Sports snickers
Black YSL boots (buy from http://www.ysl.com/us/en/onlineBouti...20Leather.aspx)
Dior Homme current season derby patent leather shoes (buy from www.diorhomme.com - $630)
Silver Comme des Garcons leather shoes
Battered leather boots from Prada Sports which I used a lot during last years snow/big freeze.
Fuck, just did a rough addition, and totalled to USD 6.3k on shoes last year lol Just ordered another YSL boots but in Python leather (USD 1.1k) should be arriving in few weeks.
now spend £2 on a tin of polish
Don't bother.
Replace them with 2010 shoes.
I never keep my shoes more than 1.5 years, all goes to charity.
Local charity here loves seeing me when I drop off my stuff to them lol
i was actually about to light the wop signal. i need grey & black kicks (1 grey, 1 black), somewhere between dressy & casual. pref leather. dont want to spend more than 400-500, but i can go up to 700 (i did the math). these are only going to be for important people/events, the other stuff i have covered (vans & shit). where do i goes
www.diorhomme.com
should fit your budget. They range from 600-700, see top left corner of the pic, I bought a pair this season.
if you want to go way over the top, go for Tom Ford shoes...they feel like a 2nd skin, very very soft nappa leather, but a simple derby classic leather costs upwards of $1900
I've decided not to blow on it unless it's 50% off during summer sale (if they have my size)
Chuck's certainly aren't the most comfortable shoes in the world, but what can you do for $35?
And speaking of which, with all the expensive shoes being discussed here, are you really trying to make the case that Chuck's are too expensive? lol
Agreed about Vans slip on's, too. Take a bit to break in, but good. The Old Skool's are cool, too:

www.aldoshoes.com
Get pretty much all my shoes here except for sneakers that I use for actual training/athletic things. Good quality and if you wait for the online sales you can get them pretty cheap.
Edit: Dont buy the ones I want quantity is limited! thanks
sweet. website is retarded but i already found some of their stuff offsite and it looks like what im looking for. thanks doggy
Fucking Chucks suck ass in the comfortability dept. I have one pair and almost never use them. Damned things make me feel like I'm walking barefooted.
the way i see it, its the same as any other hobby, except women like fashion a lot more than men because, well, women are usually more concerned with how they and other women look than men are.
some people know a fuckton about math, or guitars, or cars, or taxes, etc, wop knows shit about fashion. for me, its always valuable to have a clothing reference, especially clothing levels above middle class (in terms of pricing & availability). if you want to be with the big dogs, you have to be a big dog.
Picked up a pair of these for 30 bux shipped
