lol, what the fuck. im not buying a $700 pair of shoes. i have 500 for 2 pairs of high quality, image appropriate shoes, which is 250 each. 350 is tops, i dont want to go higher than that based on what i have, and yes, wop hit the price range exactly. and yes, maintaining image is a serious qualification. having all of your work dressed checked is a part of the process. proving that you can save a few grand to match standards is not a high barrier, but its there. its just part of the process.

If someone has the money what is the problem? First impressions are huge psychologically, I'd wager in most cases where something like this is necessary the guy wearing an expensive outfit is going to be looked upon better than someone who went the cheap route (even if it's still nice, just not designer or whatever). I'm sure "well if the guy who spent less looks as good or close to as good isn't he the smarter one?" will be brought up, but again if the expense is within your limits I believe that is a moot point.

Like I said, if he needs it, fine, I have no issue with that. I just think that you're doing your future a disservice if you just weigh your current monetary situation as opposed to weighing need vs want.
