Yeah you have to pick it ahead of time.
I found rank 3 to be the hardest to pick from since i either have all the useful ones already or have something better "easily available." barring nashira gear.

I'm not sure how this works...but...it may relate to being on the final step of the relic/mythic acquisition (IE, picking it up.) This is what I assume it means.

Normally you can get 10 marbles and pick 5 digits, so the odds of winning a rank 1 prize are 1/10000 assuming you choose different combinations of numbers for each marble. This time you get 1 shot at picking 5 digits, so the odds of a rank 1 prize are 1/100,000 and the odds of a rank 2 prize are 1/10,000. Not only that, but you can only pick one per SE ID, which means no mules and if you have multiple characters on the same Token you're still only choosing one reward. So it's substantially more unlikely that you'll win a rank 2 prize here than a rank 1 prize in normal mog bonanza, and I'd be shocked and claim statistical tomfoolery if they give out more than one rank 1 prize.

My friend and I are on the same token because his didn't (and still hasn't) shown up, so in the incredibly unlikely event that we win we'll have to have a talk about who gets the prize.

* Oh, useful idea. SE should have Rank 4 or 5 prizes be different amounts of Alexandrite/Jades/Silvers/100Bynes. Now *that* would be sweet.

You have to pick your character in advance, so you'd better have that talk right now.
