He's not ranked poorly, 15th I think? Not top 10 and I agree.
That well-oiled machine needs a healthy dose of Soriano. Take him back.
No, seriously. Take him back.
Soriano's left knee 75-80%
I saw this in class and bust out laughing.
And the NY Daily News today(newspaper)covered the whole Johnny Damon trade thing. Funniest part was that apparently Johnny tried to pull an A-Rod and called up Steinbrenner to get back on the team and got flat out denied since they got someone else. Honestly really just seems like more Boras shenanigans in the end, but Damon turning down an offer when he had moved to a position that had several prospects available in this off season was pretty retarded.
Cashman wanted him gone though, which is the other part of it. He knows he needs to get younger, and the chances that Damon repeats his 2009 numbers without getting injuries is extremely slim. He would have taken Damon back at the right price, but I think when he heard Boras' demands he pulled the trigger on Nick Johnson. Damon overvalued himself a bit I think, he's not Jeter, he's not A-rod, he's not Texiera. He's a great offensive player that is a mess in the field. People like to say he's clutch but I think that's garbage, he was like 1/16 in the postseason until he hit a homer in game 3 against the Angels. If that was A-rod people woulda gone nuts.
Anyway, good luck to Johnny, I'll miss him because he was the perfect #2 hitter in that lineup. But I think the Yankees will be just fine without him.
IGN has a hands on preview of the new Road to the Show and it sounds fucking awesome. Now I want a new TV and a PS3 just for a baseball game more than ever.
Welp, Josh Hamilton managed to tweak his shoulder while diving for a pop fly in a drill--that's awesome...

From LoHud:
Can't wait to see this kid. Here's hoping his defense gets good enough for him to stay at catcher in the bigs. The Jesus Montero show continues. Today he hit one over the batter’s eye in center field. Based on where the balls landed, I don’t think he made an out during his first eight swings in the cage: Double to the right-center gap, single up the middle, double to the left-field corner, double down the left-field line, single to left-center, double off the wall in left-center, single to right, foul line drive to left.
Just remember that Montero didn't hit one in the batter's eye... he hit it over it. The fence itself is 408 feet away, and the eye extends back and up. It was easily a 450-475 foot homer.
Juss sayin!
Yeah but that's nothing compared to EIGHT STRAIGHT IMAGINARY HITS! Nvm the last one was foul, but STILL! lol
Batting practice isn't imaginary! And hey, the beat writer wrote that, not me lol
lol I know, the amount of hype is just entertaining, some of the stuff I read about Heyward is ridiculous.
