I think the Jamie Moyer RBI walk was a bad sign
I think the Jamie Moyer RBI walk was a bad sign
This was certainly unexpected. Now lets see if we can hang on and win with Moyer and our shitty bullpen.
Walking Ruiz was when they shoulda had someone up and ready to go. A guy like Santana doesn't work around a guy like Ruiz.
LOL at satana's face. He's like what the fuck is going on!?
Moyer's speed v. Frenchy's arm... hmmm. I think he was ready to get back out to pitch.
Not gonna complain, but why would Perlozzo send Moyer to home on a single right to Francuouererer?
Greinke gets fucked over again, jesus.
What pitchers are free-agent to be after this year? The Phils won tonight and you expect that anytime Moyer pitches he's gonna need that run support, but the rotation is definitely not playoff caliber.
Blanton and Happ returning will help, but they need a real #2. Hamels I think just won't get back to 08.
I think Hamels will get better, but I don't expect his 08 form. Next year's free agent class for starting pitchers is pretty shallow. Cliff Lee is by far the best arm. The irony would be delicious if it weren't so obvious from the day the trade were made.

Hamels has good stuff, he just melts down when he gives up a few hits, or doesn't get a close strike called his way. I still think he'll eventually work his way through it, hopefully sooner rather than later.
Someone ask Santana who the best pitcher in the NL is.

yeah, gawd, the Yankees were such idiots to hold onto this guy.
Stanton with another HR today, has a HR in three strait games. 9 HRs in his last 9 games, 10 in his last 11. 12 AA teams haves less HRs than Mike Stanton does.

It was mostly a shot at the moron earlier in the thread who was trying to justify it the other way.
Also I read that Adrian Gonzalez said he'd boycott the All-star game if he were selected, as a protest against the new Arizona immigration laws. I'm confused.. isn't the All-star game in Anaheim this year?
Arizona's next year.
Ah, well there you go then. I bet he won't be the only one if the player's association doesn't make him go.
I wouldn't doubt it. I wouldn't go either, tbh.
