And you guys thought the Heyward hype was bad...
At least he's raking at the MLB level.
Well with baseball, there's so much free time during the games you can analyze all of these useless stats and hype players in single A on your way to the super bowl.
Hey now buddy, football isn't exactly a paragon of continuous activity. We know you like baseball stats, you can admit it. We won't tell any of the football jocks, promise!
Nice debut from Blanton. 6 2/3 IP 4 ER(2 of which were because of the bullpen)
Bzzzzzttttt. Apparently they are looking into if the police officer used his taser appropriately. I'd say it's appropriate considering the guy broke a handful of laws by running onto the field. Funny pic either way.
Bill Conlin:
I heard that the Halladay game was a statement win. Wrong. Beating the other team's ace like a rented pinata with your 47 year old guy tossing meatballs was what made the statement.
I have tickets to tomorrow's Angels @ Sox game. If Beltre makes another error, you may be able to get a picture like that of me being chased as I attempt to tackle that inept bastard.
Spoiler: show
Looks like Peavy may have finally worked out the kink in his mechanics that has troubled him since the start of the year
Personally I think he was overthrowing, and had some issues after coming back from his ankle injury

Yeah it's the royals, but the movement and just his 'stuff' in general has not looked this good all year, his last 12.1 IP, 15 K's, and I think 6 hits
I thought tasers were a last resort option where it's a choice between tasering and using deadly force. Somehow I don't think that idiot kid posed a threat to anyone, they could have just run him down like every other idiot who's ran onto a field.
That said, if you're stupid enough to run onto a baseball field these days you probably deserve a nice tase.
Joe Mauer is out for a bit with a bruised heel. The Twins called up Wilson Ramos who is a pretty good prospect (top 4-6 catcher). In two games he's 7 for 9 with 3 doubles batting eighth. He's had a pretty miserable April in AAA, but it looks like he got his shit together in time for some MLB games. So far so good as a replacement.
Well Chooch is on pace for some ridiculous number of walks! I'd like to see him start to drive the ball more like everyone knows he can.
Yeah well, Nick Johnson is on pace for 159 walks and 65 hits. Beat that!
Cooch Ruiz would have to graphically break his leg first! I think using a taser on a 17 year old kid is a bit extreme, but that kid doesn't have a leg to stand on here. He broke the law and paid for it.
The cop doesn't deserve to lose his job over it though.
Edit: I don't know if he did or not
People act like tasers are guns, shit just sucks for a few minutes.
Just passing by to say Wilson Ramos can be the revelation of the year, he did great on venezuelan local league, 7 hits on his first 9 turns in mlb (happy cuz he is from my local team :D ). He is first player in 68 years to do that.
Who is in your avatar?
Ryan Madson is the asshole of the year for my money. Throws a hissy fit, breaks his toe kicking something in the dugout, has surgery today. Fucking jackass.
