Kershaw will only have 5 good starts a year, it was probably safe to assume today wasn't going to be one of them.

Yeah. He's pretty much my 5th starter or so, along with Romero who I may be dumping if he doesn't get out of this rut he's in. I have Beckett, who's notoriously a better player later in the year, Josh Johnson, Liriano and Hughes (who are huge surprises), Romero, and Kershaw, so I'm not real worried.

There's a whole lot of collective mayad coming out of Yankees nation over this guy. I don't really understand why to be honest, but its amusing nontheless.

Defend him? That would be fine, except after their whole back and forth Braden decided to come out and say more of his garbage, to the point where Billy Beane had to call him and tell him to shut the fuck up. And yeah, A-rod did the right thing by saying he wouldn't extend Braden's publicity by getting into it with him again. So yes, it's pretty funny that Braden needed his grandmother to back up his overreaction with more low-class comments.

It's irritating because if Braden said his comments to someone with a better track record like say, Teixiera, or Swisher, or literally anyone else on any other team, he would have been ridiculed by 99% of baseball fans. But because it's A-rod, it's okay. I'm pretty sure that's why most Yankee fans, including myself, bitched about it.
